MEN . . . baking

How do you guys feel about MEN baking? I'm more curious to what women think about men baking because I heard a conversation between these two girls in class talking about who brought what to the potluck(they were right behind me and this was a small class, so even if I didn't want to hear them, I couldn't do nothing about it.).
They found these bag of cookies or brownies and asked who brought them and the other girl responded in a joke "it must have been one of the girls". A guy who was sitting beside me responded back to them in a jokingly way and said " I take offence to that". The girls were surprized and were like "you bake?".
They knew men baked, but were still kinda shocked when they found out one of their male students baked. :food::cook:

Does anyone here bake(question asked to both male and female)?

I'm a man (see mancard) and I don't bake :p

Oh, and I don't bake. I cook tons but generally things that are baked are things I don't allow myself to eat anymore. I might bake the occasional cake or ginger bread men with my daughter though

You couldn't do anything about it :D

Sorry, but double negatives drive me crazy

Lol I didn't even realize I did that. Thanks for correcting me. I knew something was wrong with my writing.

I just posted this thread an hour ago and already a few responses.

I can't say that I've ever baked anything, as far as cooking goes of course (please no jokes). Does lasagna count as baking? I love my Whole Wheat Vegetarian lasagna. I work at Polka Dog Bakery too. It's a local dog treat bakery. I work at the warehouse where the treats are baked. So therefore yes I do help bake dog treats. I even made my first batch of mint flavored ones. Some of the stuff we make are good enough for humans to eat. here's the website. If you have a dog they're great. Especially if they have corn, soy, or wheat allergies. I love dogs :luxlove: I grew up with them.

I grill, fry, burn, boil... but I do NOT bake...

Bake = Fatty food... I cannot think of low carb food that is made from baking. beside baking soda.

I"m a man, and I bake/cook/grill/sautee/etc.

I learned at age 17 that one of the quickest ways to impress a woman (which is a very manly thing to do) is to cook a real meal for her.

And i"m not talking about spaghetti with ragu sauce.

I've baked plenty of bread, made tons of 'melt yer o-ring' chili, grilled, smoked...hell I even make my own beer, which is really just cooking and being careful about sanitizing stuff.

My wife is a better chef, but I'm more adventurous in my attempts. Her's come out more consistent though :)

I cook, bake, grill, etc. Cooking/baking/grilling is a stress reliever for me. My grandfather always grilled no matter what the weather was like outside...he literally grilled 7 days a week. He'd come home with new beef, pork, and chicken to grill everyday and throw out whatever was left over the night before. He was also quite fond of roasting a pig over a spit.

My dad did almost all of the cooking. Mom would cook occasionally but not very often.

Soooo...I was raised by men taking care of meal preperations. And so I carry the tradition.

Summer+hot grill+cold beer=happiness.

I bet you bake...and shake.....LOL :food:

Nothing hotter than a guy that can cook a meal. Shows he's not a mamma's boy which is someone that will sit there and starve cause a woman hasn't prepared him food. My current bf likes to cook but he said something about how men don't bake. Meh, whatever. My last bf liked to cook AND bake. It really just depends what you enjoy doing in life. No need to seperate it by what sex you are.

When I cook, I only wear an apron. And nothing more.
