Mainly Eating Vegetables Program

I am on the vegetable diet.:) It's now day 7 and have slowly increased the amounts of veggies I am eating. I love vegs and it also is good in the fact that I can eat so much of them. Still crave pasta and full fat cheese but will see how I go. Have not been over 1300 cals yet which is good for me as I would usually eat that for dinner.:eek:

So today so far I have had.....

Breakfast......bowl of veg (cauliflower, zucchini, carrot, and broc)

NOTE..with my vegs I prepare a cup of cup a soup (cream of chicken 75 cals and drizzle some of it in my vegs and Thai seasoning) this usually lasts for 4 bowls of vegs.

Snack..........I x Ryvita with lowfat salsa and low fat cottage cheese, 2 cherry tomatoes.

Lunch ........bowl of veg,(as above) but this time I added some lightly cooked frozen spinach, blended with abit of stock.

I know I will probably have times where I will be weak as water but I will keep trying.;)
 
Spaghetti Squash is technically a vegetable, and has the consistency of pasta.. looks like it - has the texture of pasta cooked al dente, sauces up really well... and it's delicious...

It's neally 7.30 pm and I have had more vegs......total cal so far is 640 so I will have something else later, just don't feel hungry at the moment. When I have felt hungry I just ate more veggies. I don't suppose anyone out there wants to join me? :rolleyes: Didn't think so.;)

Trying to get the main colors in eating veggies, like green, orange and red for the antioxidants. Also trying to drop about 1 or 2 lbs a week and weigh in day is tomorrow.:eek:
If I get bored with it I will change the sauce or soup that I put with it and see how that goes. Lucky I don't have a sweet tooth, the last sweet thing I ate was a small piece of cherry ripe last Thursday (my son ate the rest) and there is still a bar sitting on the dining room table since then. :D

Must be someone who has a love for veggies like me....remember you are what you eat!!!! mmmmmm Ok that doesn't sound tempting.:D

I am not on a vegetable diet, but in my food-plan is a large amount of vegetables, in fact I eat 25-35 oz (sometimes even more) of vegetables every day. In fact I had my lunch just now, and I had raw peppers (paprika), cucumber and carrots, in addtion to less then 1 oz of bread and less then 1 oz of cheese 27% fat and 2 oz of cooked salmon. And thats just my lunch!! Despite all that food, my stats are awesome, 81.5 lbs in less then 6 months. In addition to the weightloss I feel GREAT, and I look great. Its all that vegetable I reckon.

I also eat a large amount of veggies a day. I usually add a large amount of onions and peppers to my eggs in the mornings and for lunch always includes a salad and a sandwich baggie of veggies. I could probably stand to add even more veggies to my supper, usually it's just one veggie. Tonight though I making individual pizzas for supper. I have a pack of those pocketless pitas, slather some speghetti sauce thickened with tomato paste on it, a sprinkle of shreded cheese, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and I haven't decided what else yet. I have pepperoni at home for my husband & brother to put on theirs, but it's really awful stuff (calorie wise).

If I crave some salami or pepperoni I put it on some paper towel and then place it in the micro till most of the fat has been nucked out of it....the salami is nice and crunchy too.:D
 
I like vegetables also. But probably I do not eat so much of them. It would be better I suppose to increase the amount of vegs in may daily food. The problem is I like worm and hot food. So usually I preper vegetables hot. But probably I need to eat more salads.

P.S. Heidrun - again, You are amazing. ;)
 
WOW Heidrun, thats fantastic.....:D keep up the vegetables. I had to look up 25/35 oz, I see it's close to a kilo. I have been known to eat 1 kilo of baked carrots (no fat, 350 cals) in one sitting when I feel a binge coming on.:D Keep us informed on how you are going.:)
 
Official Weigh In Day. Lost 1 Kilo this week. The great thing was too that I was not left hungry for long as I can eat so much.:)

Friday 7 th of July and another 2 lbs off.:D Still eating heaps of vegetables, haven't had a binge since I started or overeaten. I must start exercising as the only thing I have done is 30 mins yesterday.
To think that I would have now been 160 +lbs:eek: as I was putting on about 1 to 2 lbs a weeks.
P.S....eating like this keeps you very regular if you know what I mean.:eek:

I'm always looking for a diary for you and I just figured out this kind of is your diary! Did you used to eat a lot of sugar?
 
Yes I did for a while but could give it up very easily.....have hardly had any in the last 3 weeks and I don't crave it either. Cheese or Chocolate????.....give me cheese anyday.:D
 
veggies

I eat veggies all day, because I dont eat meat and dont like to eat bread and rice, although sometimes I eat sushi. I am trying to just stay away from anything that is not organic and anything that is not natural so that I can stick to this way of living for the rest of my life and not just while I am losing weight. I wish u luck my veggie sister. :eek:
 
I didn't post last week as there was no weight loss on the 14th July :( ...also had a binge that night:mad: . Today was weighed in day and I lost 4 lbs so that would make up for last week:D . I realised that I was adding heaps (and I mean heaps) of salt to everything so my body must have been struggling to release all the water I was drinking.
Still eating heaps and heaps of veggies :) .

New Looser on the block:eek:
I love my vegies...even brussel sprouts:D I generally eat what I can raw but mushrooms and Zucchini I have to steam...
Blitzed... I know you must eat other things but do you include some essential fatty acids and protein in your diet, If you dont then you virtually eat an all carbs diet and the weight you are loosing is water and not fat....which cannot be sustained for a long period of time...
Keep up the good work though, you are an inspiration and I would be interested in any replys thoughts and/or suggestions regarding your vegie diet
