Lingwo's WL Log

Agreed that quite a bit of those 4.8 pounds are likely water. You´ll know in a day or two. Did you enjoy the trip?

Welcome back! I too suspect a lot of that weight will disappear in the next few days eating clean...

Thanks! It was nice to see some people during COVID. Glad to be back on a schedule though.

Nov 23/20 Weight: 198.8lbs (-1.2lbs /-4.8bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 162g Protein / 123g Carbs / 69g Fats = 1761 calories
Yesterday's Training: Rest
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin

Streaks:
  • Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day - 1
Notes:

After a few days off from work last week, I was absolutely slammed today. Feeling pretty exhausted, but will still get my Workout A in tonight. It is going to be good to get back to the gym, but I am not looking forward to dragging myself there tonight.

Nov 24/20 Weight: 196.0lbs (-2.8lbs /-7.6bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 174g Protein / 95g Carbs / 52g Fats = 1544 calories
Yesterday's Training: Workout A
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin + Nitric Oxide + Creatine

Current non-scale goal: Limit soda to maximum one drink per day (0/14)

Streaks:
  • Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day: 2
Notes:

I've lost 4 of the 4.8lbs I gained on my trip over the past 2 days. Who knows, maybe I'll hit a new low this week even with the setback. I think maybe changing up my macros and eating habits for a week actually helped kickstart my metabolism again.

I've decided to add a new non-scale goal of cutting soda back to a maximum of 1 per day. I unfortunately love diet soda, and probably drink 1L per day on average. I would like to get this down to about 350ml, and increase my water intake.

Well done shedding that water weight already! I´m still working on my soda intake as well - not doing too badly but some days are ROUGH.

Awesome job Lingwo! Do you notice any difference when strength training? Sometimes after a large break i come back and set personal records and other times I seem to have fallen behind...

Wish me luck! So far I haven't had cravings.

I started back at the same weight and thought my bench press felt stronger, I could have repped out more. But I really was feeling kind of off and sluggish. I was last night too, I'm hoping it's just readjusting to lower carbs and not a bug.

Nov 25/20 Weight: 194.6lbs (-1.4lbs /-9.0bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 141g Protein / 134g Carbs / 40g Fats = 1460 calories

Streaks:
  • Limit caffeine consumption to 1 coffee per day: 3
Notes:

I got to a new low weight this morning! So the streak of record breaking Wednesdays continues for me. I am going to be excited to see how long this can last. I would love to be back in the 180s by the time I am out of Christmas quarantine on December 19. I think it may be doable.

Notes:

Well, I'm back. 13lbs heavier than my last weigh in and 4lbs heavier than my beginning weight in October. I went off the rails.

In November I went on a week long trip, and once I got back I didn't pick back up at the gym. Then, I spent the month of December back in my home province - which was a complete disaster as far as food goes, and I never did recover.

I went for a massage on Friday, and the therapist gave me some feedback on areas to improve my body, and I took that to heart. So, back to the forum! It really helped me stay on track in October and most of November last year - so I'm excited to start posting here again.

In some personal news, I did receive a job offer to move back to my home province. My current employer countered by also allowing me to work permanently remote from there, so looks like I'll be moving across the country again next month. Very excited about that.

Welcome back, and I hope you are here for a good while now. Where you start matters a whole lot less than starting, you are doing the right thing!

Hi there and welcome back! I agree that posting here is good for accountability. A few days of being vigilant with your intake will do wonders, just you wait and see. I also like that you included your supplements in your daily posts. I think I'm going to start to do that, too.

Cheers,
Alexis

Welcome back! It is so easy to fall out of good habits, but at least getting back into good habits seems easier the 2nd time.

Mar 8/21 Weight: 206.8lbs (-0.8lbs /+3.2bs)

Yesterday's Macros: 139g Protein / 129g Carbs / 55g Fats = 1567 calories
Yesterday's Training: 30 minutes of light/moderate cardio
Supplementation: 5000 IU Vitamin D + Multi Vitamin

Notes:

Yesterday was alright - started having some mild headaches. Likely due to me restricting my carbs again to a more reasonable number. I woke last night at 4am and couldn't get back asleep - so I'm going to be a bit of a zombie at work today.

On the bright side, it seems like the -30 days are over with, and the high today is +5, so it's a lot easier to get out and do things.

Looking forward to cutting back another 3.2lbs and getting back to my original October weight!

Trouble sleeping when you're reducing carbs seems to be a common thing. These days if I can't sleep I just lie still and dream of nice things until the alarm sounds. Not as good as actual sleep but at least I'm not a zombie the next day.
