Let's see how keto works.. one month hardcore cut with weekly pics!

That's too bad about the bulkage. Ah well, as I said earlier, now you know another way not to get it done. :D

Our training looks fairly similar now. I'm gonna catch you up on those weights and there's nothing you can do about it. But hopefully the FBW thing will help you delay it as long as possible. ;)

Well, today was the first day in a long time with normal eating.

I didn't realize how much I enjoy having every food available to me! hah!

Egg sandwiches with lots of ketchup! I missed ketchup a lot. Will be nice to have some cereal/oatmeal tommorrow for breakfast...

Had 3 cups of milk in my post workout protein shake.... it's funny, I actually prefer water in there tastewise, crazy huh?

With my weight training I was sick of the slow progressive loading so I upped all of my lifts quite a bit. Here it is:

Squat 3 X 5 X 135
Military Press 3 X 5 X 90
Power Cleans 3 x 5 X 105 (I sucked it up on these... gotta learn the form)
Chins 3 X 8
Glute Ham Raises 3 X 8 X 5(lol)
Calf Raises on leg press 3 X 10 X 320
Weighted Decline situps 3 X 11 X 35

I am having big doubts about this program (sorry focus!) I don't feel it working like at all. I will keep going until I plateau in all of my weights and then probably ditch it for a 5 day bodypart split.

Looking forward to taking the bench up to 170 on Friday.

Haha, don't be sorry. I have no attachment to it. It's just an experiment. But, on the other hand, it generally takes 2-3 weeks to notice that kind of a difference. I mean you're using baby weights right now while easing into it, of course you're not gonna feel the full effect.

Imo it's not really about perceived "work", it's about what helps you put on the most muscle. If FBW fails, then yeah, my bad (sort of). But then you know for sure which is best for you and don't have to wonder again (at least for a while). Which is knowledge I would find very comforting. But as I said, if it doesn't work for you, well, yeah. Just recommend you give it a fair chance is all. :)

Also, the eating thing. Man, every time you talk about food I feel deprived. No one else, just you, lol. :D But right on. Must be fun. I'm actually still quite enjoying eating almost nothing but meat. Right now I'm eating my "PWO pound of ham". :D

True, but I pretty much upped the weights to my 5 rep maxes today, I still have a bit of room to add weight but not much... and I didn't feel worked after the workout was over... I think I need more sets!

That actually makes me feel good, heh... I'll take that as a compliment!

So today I only ate 3200 calories and I am full as hell.. ha. Feel really bloated too. It's so weird.

I also weigh 170 pounds now. all that water weight is back in me... and my waist is the same size as when I started cutting, bah. Oh well, I will try not to worry about that, I did eat a ton of food after all... and it was worth it to experiment.

argh.. I hate carbs. Only eaten 2300 calories today and I feel so incredibly bloated... I hate that feeling.

Maybe creatine is having something to do with this too, or maybe it's just because I am getting fat again.... or maybe it's some combo of everything... I dunno.

I won't be able to keep bulking like this for too much longer though, it's just too uncomfortable, I feel like I am going to explode.

I would like to start a cut with a very lean body so I don't feel so bloated and fat.

What are you eating that makes you feel so bloated and fat?

Have you thought about "sneaking" calories (and carbs) with beverages? Chocolate milk and juice and whatnot? It doesn't all have to be whole food. That's what I'll be doing (ages from now when I'm at a bulking stage), anyway, cause I really can't stomach a whole lot of starchy carbohydrate. Or a whole lot of anything these days.

I never really thought of which carbs might actually be the culprit... but now that you mention it, it must be all the cabbage. I've eaten like half a head of cabbage today, some after each meal.... yeah that's probably it huh? ha.. ugh.

this was my last keto breakfast:

4 fried eggs (2 whole)
2 strips of bacon
3 sausage links
smothered in mushrooms and onions.

It was an epic way to end keto.

Weight training was excellent yesterday. My squats were damn near my 5 rep max, I am looking forward to upping that weight next time and seeing if I can get another 3 sets of 5. I actually felt a pump last workout too... and woke up sore this morning. I know everyone says that soreness isn't a measure of it working but I like to wake up sore anyway.

Here's my weight training:

Squats 3 X 5 X 140
Bench 3 X 5 X 170
Deadlifts 1 X 5 X 170
Pendaly rows 3 X 5 X 105
Dips 2 X 8
Bicep curls 3 X 10
skull crushers 3 X 10
Wrist curls 2 X 15
glute ham raises 3 X 8 X 10
leg press calf raises 3 X 10 with 9 45 pound plates.
weighted decline sit ups 3 X 12 X 35

It was a great session. I am freaking 173 during the day now and the skin around my stomach is pretty much stretched to it's max capacity... so I think I want to start cutting soon before my skin stretches out and I have to get a damn tummy tuck to get rid of it. :drooling1:

Anyone know how fat you can get without getting loose skin?

Your numbers are starting to look better there. Glad you had a better workout. :D

I don't think you're "getting fat" anywhere near fast enough to create loose skin, haha. I'd imagine you just feel tight from all that water that's suddenly back in ya. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're gaining more than a couple lbs per month of actual mass. Then again I don't really know **** about that. I have loose skin and such but I got mine from doubling or even tripling my body weight in about a year at around 12 or 13 years old.

I don't think gaining a couple of lbs a month will be an issue. My thinking is that the kind of body builders who have that problem are the the ones on roids who have no control at all in the off season and balloon up massively. And for them it's just some stretch marks you can easily hide with a dark coat of tan. I'm not sure "loose skin" can even exist at low body fat levels. I mean when do you ever see that, really? That's my hope anyway. :p

i'm embarrassed to show this, but this is how I look after my workouts.. and my protein drink. I would call it ballooning up massively! And yeah, I went from 156 in the mornings to 168 in about a month.

Respond quick so I can remove this photo! lol.

You do look a little bloated, hey? Hmmm. But still, I wouldn't consider it even a worry at your size, seriously. I mean you are transitioning from a low-carb diet.

Especially knowing as you do that you can just hop back onto keto whenever you want and drop some quality fat weight. :) Also, I dunno if I'm imagining it, but your pecs and abs look a fair bit larger. You can still half see their shape.

True, and with the way keto went last time I won't cut without keto probably ever again. I just don't feel quite ready to go back on keto even if it is only for a very short time period. Hmmmmm... maybe I will wait until my next body fat test on Monday and then start cutting until Easter.. so the 10th to the 24th. By then I should be quite a bit leaner and I can start a clean bulk.

If you gained so much weight in a month, maybe you should lower your calorie intake.

Yeah I could, but that's no fun :) ha just kidding. I know, I probably should. But I want to start with a lean body again instead of where I am at now.... so I am thinking of cutting up for 2 weeks or so.
