I think it doesnt matter if people are lazy and if they decide to be lazy. If they are enjoying how they are living than it is no one elses concern. Once they start complaining about how they look or such and dont do anything about it cuz of lazyness than I feel like we can comment about it, but we do only have one life to live and if people like living comfortably doing what they want to do than wat ever its cool.

Agree..................................................

So the stronger guy gets screwed huh?
Haha, well...hmm. They are strong/experienced enough to be able to push their limits. In my school, almost all powerlifters know eachother, so asking for a spot or anything isn't a problem.

AP's advice came into play again today. I did my first set of good mornings @ 95, then was planning on putting a 10 on each side, but the kid I was doing them with said "how about 45's?" so I said ok, knowing I should be pushing myself. So I then did 135. After, one of the bigger guys said go either 155 or 165, my choice...so I decided to push it, and I did. Felt great =] I ended up getting all 8 reps of 165 from really pumping it.

So what about when that scrawny guy creates the cure for cancer one day because he spent his time studying rather than working out? Or are you gonna feel superior when he sets up his own software company and makes enough money to buy New York?

Different people have different goals so don't start thinking that yours are better than everyone elses.

I never said my goals were better than anyone eles. You assume to much in one statement. In fact, i never mentioned my goals in life. The point i'm trying to make is, that by working my ass off, i feel to superior to somone who is lazy because my work ethic in that area(working out and dieting) is much higher than his/hers. O yeah, and if that same dude finds a cure for cancer, than he can personally come up to me and say "in your face" because at least i can honestly admit that i don't do well in that area.

Lazy has nothing to do with working out. That skinny guy who is busy looking for a cure for cancer, I assure you he is not lazy. The out of shape nerdy dude starting some kind of sweet business, is not lazy. You don't think those guys may feel superior to you because they believe they are going to accomplish more in their life.

Both of these groups know what it is like to put in long hours, skip sleep, and put what they believe in above everything else.

(does that sound like someone who is focused on getting in shape?)

The truly lazy people are the ones who don't work, live with their (or off of their) parents, and just waste their time with TV, video games, or any other wasted activity.

One of my best friends from middle school weighs over 400lbs, still has the neighborhood paper route, and lives with his mom. He is 28 years old. THAT is lazy.

Ok, i think you're assuming way to much here, bro. When i talk about lazy people, i'm talking about people who sit on their ass all day and expect people to hold their hands through ****. Secondly, i'm talking about the people who sit and complain while people who work hard, like myself and most others, try to get on with their life. Maybe i should have been more specific because i think this has turned up into something it shouldn't have. Honestly, i prob. come off harsh on this because i can't stand lazy people. Especially when my dad has to work 16 hour days a lot of times.
I will, however, say that my first statement was ignorant now that yall point it out to me. I didn't really meen it in the way you guys think i did though. It was supposed to be inturpreted the way i made it sound above ^

As a general address to everyone...Who ****ing cares? Take care of yourself, do what you believe in or don't, it should not about ego.

I push myself hard all the time because it helps me feel accomplished. Keyword: "me". I accomplished something I set out for MYSELF. At the end of the day I answer to myself. That is the only thing that matters. You don't get to answer for the "fat/lazy" person, as they also answer to themselves. Don't be fooled into thinking others are less than you because they have different priorities. Priorities lead to action, which reveal character. If moral/idealogical flaws exist within their character, then yeah, maybe the particular individual is a bad person. You'll never know just by looking at someone...Maybe Tubbs over there was just finished writting an equally fat check to some poor orphanage or something. When was the last time you did something similar? In the end, this is why you shouldn't compare. It's worthless. You'll never be someone's equal, and they'll never be yours. If at the end of the day, things are right with yourself, then you did well.

Morbidly obese people fit into the category of "selfish", in my book. The damage they do to their loved ones is more selfish than anything. To become morbidly obese, one has to prioritize just about everything to be for them...in general.

I'm really ****ing tired right now. Thoughts is scattered and incoherent dsfsdfwag465gd

This is such a good set of points. Really great. It's like when people at the gym complain about not getting results and then go out and eat and drink 2-3 days' worth of calories in a sitting. You can't be one way and then not expect to see results from that.

At the gym yesterday, I was leaving and I saw 3-4 women standing around the TV and they were shocked looking. They had the news on and the morning crew was doing a show about calories in Starbucks drinks. Honestly, those women looked like this:     and then I left when I saw them turn into this:

:)
