So I know there are a few challenges out there right now, but I thought Id make another one, for those few stragglers who aren't in a challenge right now and who'd like to be! The challenge is going to be a month long and anyone can join. It will start tommorow (official start date is august 18th) with the inital weigh in and then every monday until September 15th there will be a weekly weigh in. But if you want to start today, more power to you!

This thread is meant for motivation and well...fun! Post whatever you feel like including your challenges, accomplishments, how much you exercised, what you ate, and tips, etc...

My personal goal for the month is to lose 12-15 pounds!

No exercise yet, but I am going golfing later and its only 9:45 am :)

My personal goal for the month is: I would like to lose 8-10 lbs.

Exercise: My goal is to get in an hour a day.

My goal: Stick to better eating habits, a challenge, and going to the gym at least every Sun, Tues, and Thurs for 1 month. ANY weight loss would be an outstanding bonus!

Starting weight (8/17) - 211.2 (this is prob. a little off, I've been sick & not eating)
Official start date 8/19 - 213.6

Updates:

Wk 1. Went to gym Sun, Tue, and Thu, even went for a walk one extra day.
Confession: I had 1 whole cheat day where I had Ihop for breakfast and Pizzahut for lunch/dinner, and a soda later in the week and half a burger today.

I had kind of a bad food day today but I definetely plan to make up for it tommorow and this entire week. Back to school clothes shopping is just around the corner...and I dont want it to be too miserable lol so theres my motivation :)

i'm in since i finally decided to get on the scale again after 3 months since my last weigh in(i hate the scale, but i think I'm going to start incorporating now that i'm getting close to the 200 mark). Still despite some summer backsliding, i'm down another 20 lbs from May so it's time to kick it up to get ready for the holiday festivities in a few months!:willy_nilly::hurray:

My personal goal for the month: 10-15 lbs and staring down the 200 mark

August 17th: (19th) 217 lbs
August 25th: 213 lbs
September 1st: 209.5
September 8th: 208.75(down 7.25 so far-oh and tom here so I planned on a bitty loss:-D)
September 15th: 208(well, I didn't meet my goal of 10..ugh! I think this challenge reminded me of why I don't normally do regular weigh ins. I much prefer doing once a month or so and finding myself 10-15-20 lbs down.)

Diet: no eating out!!
1 gallon of water a day

Fitness goals: continue the toning routine. 60 minutes of cardio a day/6 days a week!

I like this club since the kids head out to school on Thurs and my next semester starts on Sept 20th so more gym time for me:cheers2: perfect!!! Thanks for starting it!

Bumping this one back up for updates. Just got done at the gym so I was able to get my weigh in this am and add it. Did well--4lbs gone, but I figured it would be a good week since I was able to up the intensity since the kids are back to school(think of it like starting all over again when you've been doing nothing or maintaining for a while). I figure I can expect a more modest 2 lbs this next week. Hoping to eek out a 10 lbs loss total which has me staring eye to eye with the 100's again! :party:


How did everyone else do? Besides the actual weight loss I met all my goals except I may have been a bit skimpy on the water in spots. I'm planning to take Wed off and just enjoy! Hope everyone else is doing well. Look forward to the updates!

I really need to kick into high gear these next few weeks, ive really tried to get in exercise which hasnt been a problem, but the food is the real kicker I have been watching my portions better, but the food options havent been up to par. But I plan to do much better this week and will continue with more water, less fatty foods, and more exercise!

congrats to everyone who had a loss and lilly, it can't resist forever. Those pounds will kick to the curb before long!:cheers2:
 
You know, I feel the difference in my pants (of weight loss), so I know I'm slowly losing, so that keeps me from going bonkers lol :chillpill:. I think this weigh in was just the usual fluctuation because lately I've been mostly weighing in around 212, BUT geez I cant wait till I weigh in under 210 even on the days I'm retaining/fluctuating. :toetap05:

But that did motivate me to go to the gym today (it's my off day), I'm just gonna do some cardio since I did weights yesterday.

Things are going well for everyone! Awesome! I just moved back to school and went grocery shopping so the food thing is now under better control! Good luck and motivation to everyone!
 
Kicking it back up. I'm opposite of lilly...I'm losing fat, but not feeling the pants difference. As usual its pulling from somewhere other then my gut:cuss: Ok, I feel a very slight difference in them. Oh well...I shall keep on because this is for more then weight loss. :coolgleamA:


For everyone wondering, I think my results are because I recently switched up my workout routine so that change is pushing the weight loss.
