Weight-Loss Last Full Month of Summer!!! August Weight Loss Challenge!

Alright, summer is coming to an end and some of us will be going back to school very soon. I understand that not everyone in this forum is experiencing summer right now, and probably half of us do not go to school.... but I started this thread so hah!

I want to go back to school and my friends see me for the first time in 5 months and have their jaws drop. An example of what my friend wrote to me today through msn:

I have kept this a secret and have actually made it sound like I have, and with this being the last month before I see everyone, I have to push through it as hard as I can.

Some of us in this forum have slipped in the last little while. It's almost like July came and the road suddenly turned rocky. Some of us have had some really bad days/weekends in the last month or so, and some of us have had trouble sticking to healthy eating and/or consistent exercise.

IT IS A NEW MONTH!! Lets get focused and leave behind all of our slip ups. This will be the month of refocusing, or just getting focused for the first time. Let's push through this month and come out of it with a BANG and some great new appreciations for ourselves!


Rules:
1: Weigh-in will be every Friday because I like Friday :)
2: Weigh-in the first and last day of the month.

I'm up for it! Its going to be a tough month with having a vacation right smack in the middle of it! But the challenge to stay on track is more than welcome!

August 2: 147.0

I also made a birthday goal to lose 7 lbs.. by Bday is Sept 13 so exactly 6 weeks from today! SOOOOO if I work hard I know I can get to 140!!!

I'm in!!! I don't have high hopes for the first part of this month and the last part of the month will probably be undoing damage caused during the first part of the month. :) But, I'm still in!!!

Angela, no one in their right mind would fault you for not keeping on track this month. As a matter of fact you better drink a couple for me and enjoy every last bit of food you get!

Ok, Friday weigh ins it is. I took the latter part of last week off, so I've got some water weight packed in from awesome salty food and beer. I'm hoping for a big loss by Friday!

But barring that, here are my expected numbers with a calorie deficit of 1250.

August 4: 192.7

August 8: (191.3)
August 15: (188.8)
August 22: (186.3)
August 29: (183.8)
August 31: (183.1)

Total loss: (9.6)

Bring it on! I've also got an 8 day long vacation in the middle there...so I guess I won't have a weigh in on the 15th. Hopefully it won't be too bad though! I'm sure the hotel has a gym. :ack2:
 
I'v been away for a while, but have maintained my weight so far, (sigh I haven't been trying to hard over the past few months).

Can I play too? I haven't been serious about losing this summer but i put on a top the other day and it looked like a maturnity top and I am beating myself up.
I read some of your posts and you all seem so excited. I am carrying a lot of water weight right now and if I just get back on track i know I can drop some fast.
