Thanks everyone.

I think I'm going to keep it. I've realised how much I would miss it after it would have gone. Although I would like it to grow a little more.

I vote for keep it.

I love chest hair and belly fuzz... as long as it isn't a pelt.

Back hair... not so much... I'd be firing up the waxer.

Alright, I'm going to get a little personal and say no matter how you do it...take it off, take it ALL off. Why stop at the chest hair?

I absolutely HATE the extra hair. It's supposed to be on a man's legs, feet, head, eyebrows, arms and arm pits. And that's where it stops. No where else.

This is probably TMI and I won't be offended if a mod edits it out...but my fiance and I both keep ourselves perfectly (wo)manscaped. That means breaking out the razor/wax and keeping the places that look best bare...naked. I don't disagree with those that say that chest hair looks manly, it's just nasty. And all curly hairs get left in the shower, on the floor, in the sheets...:puke: No woman wants to be snuggling into her man's body and start sneezing because his chest hairs tickled her nose. Bare=beautiful.

Meh. It depends. Too much is bad, too little, also not good. I'm not a fan of chest hair but my boyfriend has just enough for me to rub my hand across when we're laying around.

But if you've got the Austin Powers shag chest going on, I'd say wax the parts that go way out of bounds, and carefully manscape (thin) the area right below the collar bones but above the pecs. But without awesome abs, going completely smooth is just a bit teenage boyish (unless you're a swimmer...or a celebrity).

couldnt' find any good pics, sorry.

On, but I guess there are some limits. Unfortunately, dark haired men(and women) show their hair more so if you go the shaved route totally, you are going to have a very rigorous routine to keep it at bay.

I am glad you are going to keep it. I think it depends a lot upon your age and how comfy you are with your body. I am also one of those that thinks going gray or bald is distinguished on a man and that he should just let himself be...same with chest hair. If it is there...love it...(but trim it, by all means) Good for you on deciding to embrace your hairy, manly self.

Another note: Attractiveness in a man for me is more about the way he carries himself than his actual looks. If you can strut it confidently, then it is attractive. But maybe that is just me...

I totally agree with you. There is an attitude and confidence about a man that makes him very attractive.

Keep it on; men with totally hairless chests come off as vain and arrogant to me. Plus, it's very high-maintenance and looks almost...well...boyish. I have the same reaction to people who shave off their pubic hair. I think it's kind of disgusting really. Grown-ups have body hair. It's natural. I only make an exception for back hair....back hair is NASTY.

I think that chest hair honestly depends on the guy. If he's not "too" hairy, then leave it. If you're bushy... you can try trimming it down or getting rid of it, depending on how it'll match the rest of the hair on your body. I definitely think that someone like Robin Williams should trim back all of his body hair. lol

Robin Williams' hair is trying to escape his chest... look at how it is always crawling out of his shirt.

So what should be manscaped? What should not be...sounds like chest should be maintained, but not shaved.

OFF!

Ever tried licking ice cream (or anything really, depending on your taste) from a hairy chest? EEEEK!! :puke:

You end up with hair stuck in your teeth and all of that....*shudder*
