I am all upset over here and I can't find a post by you to do a PM, and i already deleted the PM you sent me.

i didn't mean a thing by what I had typed. using "that word." And i even feel bad about it.

BUT, i just noticed that infraction thingy on my name now. YOU DO MEAN SOMETHING BY THAT! you have labeled me. So what am I??

am i a hater of some sort?
am I some activist?
am i a radical?
maybe i should just split. this takes way too much time anyway......

dude!!!! - (no offense to people who work on ranches intended.)

my "infraction" was just loose lips. but you have labeled me.

Will that drop off of my posts?

You did nothing "Intentional". Some are thin skinned when one is actually meaning well in the first place...........Im by your side......100%, and will be gone with you. Just about all of your posts are nearly the same "free form" attitude, that most love on this forum. You had already apologized (if its the one I am thinking it is) and this should be good enough. FF's positive contribution to this forum far outweighs a small misunderstanding, and he deserves no "Infraction" Label.

For what its worth, My feelings for "good" members on this forum are very strong, and FF is one of these forum members who has a "Free Spirit" that uplifts alot of persons on this forum, and to punish him for this is flat ridiculous....

I've said the f word hundreds of times. It gets censored on here anyways.. But I guess it really depends on the context.. Can anyone link me to the post in question? :s
 
I agree. The "F" word that FF used in his context wasn't intentionally insulting. It was to exaggerate and enhance his point. It wasn't literal. Plus the man has no bad bone in his body when it comes to this forum. "Offensive" words aren't his trend He's for the good of the cause 100%.
 
1.) What infraction label? I don't see anything. (or is it something only you can see for reminder purposes?)

2.)Since when exactly do people get infractions for use of a curse word?! That's the first I've ever seen or heard of that.

3.) I've never seen FF say anything even remotely offensive to anyone. Everything he says is light hearted and up-lifting.

I don't know exactly what he supposedly said that was "offensive", but I have a really hard time believing that he actually said anything mean.
 
As I have seen the original post in the thread of question. I think the person complaining read the comment out of context (and over reacted, again). Then the person also questions another post of FF’s in the same thread, being unable to see a sarcastic comment for what it is.

I guess thicker skin must grow in time.

I have seen other posts in other threads (from different people not F.F.) that might be over the top and mean/rude to people. Yet no big deal was made of it. With as much getting around curse word filter that goes on ($$#*%&^!)(@*) there is always a good chance of offending someone, yet it is not a big deal.

Just my 2 useless pennies.

Maybe you (mreik) should get an infraction for upsetting Trevor in another thread........though you didnt "Intentionally" mean to do it. eh? He was very upset over what you commented, and litterally destroying his poll on "Pop in Quizes" (5,000 no responses). Did you get "tagged" with an infraction. Maybe you should have. I dont care if you are a moderator, I have rights to my opinion, and your picking on my friend, wrongfully,.....a simple modification PM would have sufficed.

In reality, you ruined the integrity of Trevors thread. So I responded in that thread because of this, for what ever its worth to you. And, Trevor and I never really saw eye to eye since I have joined in May 07, but he is still is a forum buddy that had a respectable cause. Even the best intentions get misunderstood sometimes, eh?

You close down threads, that get an attitude that doesnt sit with you well, but yet, you think its okay to destroy an integrity of a thread. With respect to you, this is a double standard. Then when another forum member makes a small complaint, you tag the supposed stimulator (FF), when a mediation of the circumstances would have done wonders to the situation and outcome. It appears, this could have been handled better.

If the "tag" was lifted, Im not apologizing, for my small rant. He is my friend, as are the others, and ALL WE HAVE is EACH OTHER on this forum, and we should be supportive.

when i left to go skydiving i felt like some right wing neonzi hate crimer! and you knwo what? i post alot here, and I care alot and as long as i have that infraction thingy in my face, (even if you guys can't see it) I think something is wrong! and what is wrong is the label i have been stamped with.

AND, I am not going to play safe!!! i am a professional skydiver, black belt in TKD, Triathlete, in shape, eating nutritiously and have years of doing it, experience, and I truly enjoy helping. You want to nit pick me, over some new persons hypersensitivity. i do not need it. and i have no desire to keep playing under a threat staring me in the face that says be careful, one more infraction....

Alright I am going to have to step in here. I dont like the personal insults directed at mreik for applying the infraction, because he was not the one offended by the remark. Furthermore, a pm was sent explaining the infraction in which he made it clear that some people might be offended. Regular members cannot apply infractions for posts they find offensive, so mods have to be the bad guys.

I have much love and respect for both FF and Chillen, but I dont see the necessity of this post. I put Chillen in the above sentence because you are the one making the comments towards Mreik about the post to Trevor. Mreik was joking in that post, but some people took it as offense. An infraction could have been applied perhaps to both posts, more so actually to Trevors because of his choice words. This could have stayed at pming with mreik FF, all you had to do was type his username in a new message.

The word FAG is the problem word. Whether I agree with the problem here is not important, but someone was offended by it and reported it.

This shouldnt be a gang war against mreik or spicypumpkin.

Good post, Tony. We, mods, try to be as leanient as possible because no one likes a bunch of censorship and hand slapping. However, when you accept a mod position, you have to be the bad guy sometimes whether it's to someone you like or don't like. Sometimes no one gets offended by something and then other times one person or many people get offended by teh same thing that previously no one would get offended at.

Mreik never said he didn't like FF nor (like Tony said) was he offended by what FF said. However, someone was and he had to do his job. I think you guys know Mreik well enough (despite some harsh words toward him in this thread) to know he doesn't go handing out infractions like a nazi mod.

I think we should move on and let sleeping dogs lie.
