Journey to 120 lbs

Went up by almost a pound today which is extremely frustrating seeing how I've been giving this my blood sweat and tears for almost a week now.
You´re doing unaccustomed exercise - and lots of it - so your muscles are very likely holding on to a lot of water. They won´t stop doing that until you either stop or get used to the level of exercise. Extra water/weight in your muscles won´t make you look bad in a bikini though, so don´t worry about it!

Lama, that makes sense. That's kind of discouraging. I do feel kind of puffy this morning and I really didn't eat anything yesterday that usually makes me feel that way. How long do you think it will take for my body to "get used to" the exercise?

Good work, noregrets. You are really motivated! Keep up the exercise and light eating and you will accomplish your goal so don't worry about that pound up. Actually, with all that exercise you will be building some muscle so you may want to concentrate more on how you look that what you weigh.

Don´t be discouraged! As I said: water in your muscles isn´t making anything wobble so it won´t make you look bad on vacation. Since you raised your activity level by quite a lot I would expect it to take around 6 weeks. And it won´t get more over time, you´ve probably already "gained" all you´re going to gain. Just keep at it and the water weight will secretly leave you at some point, leaving you with a fitter body and an unexpected loss.

Hello, well I injured myself doing the Freeletics and had to take a break from it. I've been walking instead. Thankfully the pain has subsided, so I didn't need to go to the doctor or anything, but it was pretty discouraging and I kind of gave up for a week (food wise). Anyway, I'm back. Probably not going to start the Freeletics again until I get down to my goal weight. Right now I'm going to focus on cardio and food.

Today's weight: 128.3 lbs

Yesterday's exercise : 3 miles on treadmill (45 min)

Greek yogurt 80

Snack - 1/2 a grapefruit 40

Dinner- Salad ( lettuce 10, salmon 100, avocado 160, cheese 100, honey mustard dressing 100)

Drinks
Chardonnay (10 oz) 225
Vodka (1.5oz) 100

Total 1,535 calories

I'm about to go for a long 4 mile walk and after that I have plans to go out to lunch with my husband and in laws. No worries there though, as I'm a pro at ordering healthy options. Oh, I had an alcohol free day on Thursday. I'd like to try to have more of those going forward. It's scary how not easy that is. Anyway, looking forward to a nice day

Hello WLF, I'm back after over a month. I got down to 125 for the cruise and felt pretty good at that weight (but it's not as low as I want to get). I've been off work for 11 days and I go back today. I also went camping during this time. I'm currently 129 lbs, which is really not so bad given the long vacation. I think it will come off rather quickly. I've been really good about exercising (even ran every day on my cruise) and where as before I was only doing 2 miles, I have upped it to 3 (sometimes more).

So, yeah the party is over..back to reality today and also time to start back on my journey to 120 lbs. I will get there one day! It would be great if it could be before next year. No huge rush though.

Hey! Good luck this month! Are you doing any weight training at all? I can't believe you ran everyday on the cruise - well done, haha.

4 lbs only on a cruise & running every day? WOW! You'll have that done & dusted in no time at all xo

Wow can't believe how long it's been. I guess you can say I fell off the wagon, but not too bad. Anyway, I'm tired of carrying around this extra weight and so ready to get down to a weight where I am comfortable at (I'm short). I don't have much to say besides that. Tired of being on the merry go round, so I'll leave things there.

Current weight: 132 lbs
Goal weight: 115 lbs

Today:
3 miles on treadmill @ 4mph

Breakfast:
3 egg whites 51
Bacn bits 90
Siracha hot sauce 15
Canned green beans 26

Lunch
Beef merlot steamer by healthy choice 180

Dinner
Shrimp 150
Mashed cauliflower 100
canned green beans 26
Hot sauce 15
Ketchup 80

Drinks
Grande iced coffee with sugar free cinnamon dolce 80
Vodka 414

Total calories 1,227

One day at a time.

Hi, hon & welcome back. Getting off the merry go round would be good. It's hard to maintain weight-loss if we slip back into old bad habits. I know that I need to weigh myself once or twice a week from now on. The minute I stop I put weight back on as I kid myself that I'm doing OK. Then it's back on the merry go round :( One day at a time :)

Hi Kate, thank you!

Hi there! I just read through your diary so far. You’re doing great and so motivated! I love the sound of your Freeletics workouts. I’d like to try something like that myself.

Good luck hitting your goal!

Try to check in reasonably often to keep your eyes on the ball. It does help & it's nice to have a support team xo
