Well, I'm back in the work force. I haven't worked at a "real" job in over 2 years and decided it was time. I just started teaching at a school for high risk students. They are all at risk of dropping out of high school, some are already parents, some are on their way to being so etc. First day went very well and the kids are great. I suspect it is going to be a good year. Plus they were all relatively eager to start using the schools weight room!! Keep your fingers crossed!!:cheeky2:

Nutrition today wasn't much. Wasn't sure about a mid morning meal with the new job, so didn't really have time for one. Plan on having a good healthy dinner. Thinking salmon with veggies. That sounds good and I have it in the house, so yup, that's what it will be...yum::food:

I know, I know I haven't journaled in quite a while. All of a sudden my life got very busy. I won't bore anyone with details. Training has been going very well. I really like the ripptoes workout and am progressing nicely. I lowered my heavy weight training regimen a little the past 2 weeks because I was training for the half marathon. The marathon was awesome, it went really well. Ready for the full and even could've run it yesterday. If I have one regret about running yesterday's half marathon it was not running the full. That's how good I felt. Of course if you read my post in the running section you'll see why I felt so great... I certainly didn't push my limits...(yada yada yada, it's all in there).

Anyway, I'll try to be a little more consistent in journaling. We are leaving on a golf vacation to the Outer Banks next week so I'l be MIA for about 7 days. I'll be back tonight to post my diet and exercise for the day. By the way, does taking 2 big dogs for a walk at 1:30 a.m. count as exercise?...lol...damn dogs wouldn't sleep until they had their walk!! It is true, get a dog and stay in shape! Going to eat breakfast now.:eating:

30 minute HIIT on spin bike

3.5 mile run

60 minutes weights and abs

Gotta get a grip on my diet. I don't overeat but I'm into "picking". I hate it!! Those calories really add up. I know. I get so discouraged with my eating habits.
