is overworking your muscles ok if you give adequete time for healing?

well if you give enough time for them to heal, your not really overworking them.. However its usually a good idea to train more frequently and less than less frequent and more. if you catch my drift.

Purposely overtraining for some period of time followed by a period of rest or at least light training is one method to "shock" your muscles into a new growth spurt and get past a plateau.

Well I mean like if I play soccer so hard one day that I can't lift my legs for 3 days, or if I do archery for several hours, resulting in my shoulders being so tender it hurts to lift anything at all for a week, lol.

that could maybe lead to overuse.. inflamminationes, etc. injury. not a good thing.
step down a bit, dont over do it and let your body adapt and grow stronger.

Stretch stretch. after a soccer game go for a warm down to rid the waste from your muscles.

Theres a first for everything;)
