Sport is once a week too much to 'cheat'?

Well said! Yeah its a first date so dont wanna put her off! Ill just enjoy it and as you say redouble my efforts in the gym the following day!

I copied and pasted this bit from

"Some people have a binge day, where they can eat things they usually don't. I disagree with this. I feel this only keeps your cravings alive. I find if you go long enough without something you quit craving it, and for the most part, no longer want it. Many people view eating as a source of enjoyment. I don't eat for enjoyment. I eat to fuel my body."

I think it's pretty useful and relevant advice.

Whilst I can see where the last two posters are coming from, I personally disagree with them both. Yes, food is fuel but, why shouldn't it be used as a reward? There is also some logic to the cheat meal rather than it being simply a reward.

The logic is that, whatever regime you stick to, your body will eventually get used to it, become more efficient. However, if you 'mix it up' once in a while like you do in your training, your body thinks 'hang on, maybe I don't know what is coming next all the time' and won't ever become too comfortable with your nutrition regime.

I have heard a number of stories about people overcoming a weight loss plateau by eating a Big Mac.

Yep, that is what I did 'Once in a while'. I lost 100lbs. It is something good to look forward too, it kept me going. And all the hard work you put in, you bet it's a "Reward". Just don't keep doing it. Sometimes I did it 2 times a week(not 2 days in a row). Other times I did it 1 time a week...every 3-4 weeks. It helped me keep my spirit up, thats for sure!

cheat meals are no good!!! Ur reward for the week of good dieting and working out should be nothing more than RESULTS! :)
