Iron Man - the movie!

Ahhh....the clouds part and Dallen redeems himself through explanation. Good points!!!! I see what you mean now...and in fact agree with ya! :D

I'm not even going to bother seeing Speed Racer...total CGI-glam. I still sorta enjoyed 300, but just for the Dungeon's & Dragon's aspect of it. Btw, the abs were all CGI'd in. :)

Not really. It might have looked better after the the CGI, but they worked their butts of training.

FF is the real IronMan

I saw a whole documentary about the making of the movie. The lead actor and some of the other actors did workout and do their typical pre-shoot fitness thing....but the lead actor, specifically, was displeased when he learned later that the abs were CGI-enhanced and all his work wasn't really necessary.

Dude...did you also think Ricardo Montebuan was really chest-ripped in that Star Trek movie??? :D

Key word, enhanced. Not added in :p

Sooooo...Dallen...you're going to go buy GTA4 which is nothing but computer animation yet you won't watch a movie that has "too much" computer animation?

I guess I go to movies expecting to be entertained. If I wanted something realistic, I'd just sit and watch those Real Stories of the _________ on cable. I dunno...not seeing Iron Man because it won't look realistic seems silly to me since it's a movie based on super heroes which is way far from realistic. However, I will say Iron Man was awesome and plausable.

P.S. I will never buy another GTA game. It's another thing that seems silly to me. Everyone of them has been the same game over and over again with slightly increasingly better graphics. It's basically like one of those Jason movies that never ever ends. Pretty soon your grandkids will be buying GTA 127.

I will be seeing Speed Racer simply because my son has inherited my love for Speed Racer. It makes me laugh that my 5 year old watches teh same cartoons I did when I was his age.

PREDICTION: The GI Joe movie will be an epic fail!

Terminator 1 and 2 were my favorite movies of all time. Now, let's look at how they made it: puppets, computers, and actors. In all cases throughout the movie, actors reacted to other actors. Now look at Terminator 3, it's mostly computer animated. The fight scenes are no longer fun... just ridiculous. The robots appear like they were drawn on paper. And overall, the movie was more about computers skills than acting skills.

Yeah, this is a really good example. The second terminator especially was badass and hardcore. The third one was such a joke! It's bizarre if you think that a movie made 10+ years after the other sucks harder and actually looks faker. It's a little depressing.

Terminator 3 may not compare to the other 2. BUT that terminator chick was hot. Especially in the very first scene right after she comes through the time warp thing.

Its the same as the newer Star Wars flicks. They suck compared to the originals.

The fact is games are becoming better and better. I love the "movie" scenes of modern games. It's much more fantastic.

I guess what I'm trying to point out is that computers are being used too much in modern movie as a show-off tool rather than giving meaning. Like a good example would be in Final Fantasy 10, there was a scene where the main female character was dancing on top of the water to "send" off the dead. It was beautiful and it had meaning and it had purpose. It was good. Now, compare that to something like Iron Balls. I saw a scene in the preview where he was smashing an airplane and flying all around doing these weird moves that are physically impossible. It's just a computer show-off. No meaning, nothing. Just a, "wow that's kind of cool."

To give a more modern day scene, like in GTA 4, the game has meaning to the scenes. You laugh, you cry, and you actually relate to the character. It's realistic computer interaction rather than unrealistic "wow"-only factor. If the entire game was about slow motion, super powerful, all out explosions, everything blowing up and super strong, I would toss it in the garbage.

It seems like modern movie tries to show emotion by displaying dramtic, unrealistic scenes rather than through acting skills.

Physically impossible yet you like some game about dancing on water? That makes sense.

Anyways I seen this last night and it was damn good. Stayed the extra 10 minutes for the 15 second preview. Cant wait til avengers comes out. Makes me wonder if DC Comics will do a Justice League movie. First they need to find a good superman character.
