I currently volounteer at a vetinary clinic.
I hope to get a summer job working at a riding stabble
I used to be thin when i was little, but started gaining since I was diagnosed with Asthma, at age 8.
Sadly, I curretly weigh about 200 lbs..I know that it's important for me to do something about it. I had once tried the slim fast diet, and lost about 30 lbs in 2 months. it was great, but as soon as i stopped buying the product, all the weight came back, and more. I have also tried herbal diet pills to speed up my matabalism.

Anyways, im not sure what else there is to say about me. Hope i can get to know everone!

My story

Hi, My name is Pam
I am very new to these forums.
I bet that I am the oldest member, 51 to be exact and
probably old enough to be mother to all of you!!!
My personal demons introduced themselves to me about 2 years ago.

My husband and I moved here to Houston from Florida. For the first time in my adult life I was no longer working. This was all so new to me!! I was home alone all day with our 2 kitties, Jackie & G and that huge refrigerator!!!:( I found myself grazing all day. A little here, a little there, hey no one could see me, right? :confused: Well to make a long story short, I have gained 25 lbs in those 2 years. I no longer look like myself and finally had to hang my head and walk into a Lane Bryant store for the first time.

Yesterday I decided to take charge of myself. I refuse to fail. I have joined Quick Weight Loss Center to help improve myself forever. My goal is to lose 37 lbs in 14 weeks. My husband says he is so proud of me. If all goes well I will hit my goal the first week in December in time for my BIRTHDAY:D

I am confident that I can do it!!

I am just home from a year working in Spain, teaching English in a language centre for adults. I also spent the summer living in the Alps and studying at a university. Gorgeous!
I lived there with my partner. We met when he was on holiday here in Ireland and when I moved to Spain he moved from Belgium. It was wonderful. I have travelled around a lot of Europe this year - France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium, England, Switzerland...
I speak 3 languages. I am learning Dutch now. My partner and I can speak 5 lanuages between us. We hope to find jobs abroad and move away next year.
I am now back in Ireland and am currently settling into our new flat.

I have always been a bit on the podgy side and have always wished I could lose a bit so if I manage to it will mean a lot to me. I am going to be a bridesmaid in about 18 months so I am determined to slim right down by then.
