I am Jackie.

I am 28 y/o.

I live in Newfoundland, Canada.

I live with my b/f of 10.5 yrs for the past almost 5 yrs (hard to believe actually; it only seems like yesterday we moved in together).

I have a small farm (3 dogs: Sandy - 10.5 (yellow lab); Boots - 10 (mix between terrior and ??); Lucie - 9 MONTHS (chocolate lab)...1 cat: Marmalade (Marmie) - 2 (oranage)...1 fish: Ty :p - I've had him about 1-1/2 yrs (mixed colour).

I love spending time with family and friends.

I am a very emotional person.

I am currently a Stenographer and work with the Cancer Centre.

Me and the b/f have one vehicle - 2005 Blue Saturn Vue, which we love.

We own our own home (4 yrs this May) and planning major renovations in about 5 years.

For the first 23 years, I could eat what I wanted, when I wanted...then blew up to 218 pounds over about 4 years, when I decided it was time to lose weight and have lost approx. 20 pounds in approx. 1-1/5 yrs. with another estimated 30-35 pounds to go.

I love to talking to and meeting people of all ages, sexes, and races. There is something unique about each and every one of us, and I love learning it all...makes for an extremely great and interesting bunch of friends and/or acquaintances.

I hate people who are prejudice, but I tend to keep my mouth shut when I do hear remarks related to this, because once I get started on a topic that really affects me...I tend to NOT SHUT UP! However, I also believe people are entitled to their opinion, but hate it when their opinion makes other people feel small or stupid. I don't think that's fair.

I love fruits and veggies, but my weakness is chocolate!...does chocolate covered strawberries count as a splurge...;) LOL

I love warm and sunny summer days.

I love being by water of any kind (lake, ocean, river).

I love nature.

I love gardening.

I love music of any kind...don't really have a fav...I'm all over the place.

I love yellows and blues.

I love house plants.

No plans for marriage and no plans for kids, but never say never...that's what I'm told :D .

Anyways, I think that's it. If I think of anything else, I'll post again.

Im a singer of a band - we recently recorded new songs and are doing some gigs soon

Hello! I'm Sarah.

I live in rural Maine with my husband and 4 cats.

Soon we're going to have a farm with organic fruits and veggies, goats, ducks, chickens (for eggs and meat), a horse, and possibly more.

I'm a personal trianer. I run an online personal training business and design nutrition and workout programs for people right over the internet. I love it! I'm also about to open an in person personal training business right in my home. I'll be teaching classes, training people one on one and designing full programs for them.

I'm very into the outdoors. In the winter I love snowshoeing and tracking (following animal tracks). In the summer I'm an avid hiker and I'm writing a hiking book currently. I also love running and biking and kayaking and fishing and camping...anything that gets me outside. Oh and I have bird sanctuary and I'm very in to birding.

I also weight train seriously. I used to be a figure (fitness) competitor.

I remarried in April 2005 to a wonderful man who stands behind me on every one of my expeditions.
I have an almost 20 year old son who lives in Calgary and 1 step son and 2 step daughters who don't live with us.
Our at home family consists of our 1 year old Jack Russell Terrier (Terror) named Bruce.
I sort have been struggling with my weight on and off over the years but the last 2 years have been big (no pun intended) struggle.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...can't think of anything else. But I do love this site. Everyone is so awesome.:D

And finally, I've recently read about a Buddhist monk who lived for 14 yrs w/o speaking a word because one day he challenged himself to think about whether or not what he was going to say would really improve upon the silence. Though I don't live in follow this teaching, it has definately had a profound affect on me for reasons I can't even explain to myself.

I like getting to know all of you so I hope more people will post a short bio.
