I'm excited...

Not to burst anyones bubble, but I just bought a 2002 Grand Prix GT last week, but I can't find a good picture to put up on this site..

anyone who can post a good pic of my car in redfire metallic paint gets a cookie :D

gotta go with the gtp ;) they rock

I don't want the supercharger though

lets all share minivan pics

hey ladies--

I think minivans rock...when i got this last year...i didnt want it....i wanted a suburban (upgrade in size from my escalade) but my husband was concerned about the gas i was going through (true soccer mom always on the go)...anyway, he said i got to pick my van, try it out for a year and then wed see...omg i love this! it has tons of room, drives like a car and the best feature...automatic door openers when i have my hands full with kids, gym bags, school stuff or groceries...crumple zones, air bags in every imaginable place steel frame side impact absorbers...im like safe ;)
so congrats on your new wheels! :)

oh and i totally love the triple zone climate control..saves sooo many quarrels with the kids :)

how many carseats you all lugging around?

oh we have a seperate radio set up for the back and the climate stuff, too. :D Basically once we sat in the van we new we had to have it. We liked our old van but this is such a nice nice upgrade. only 23,000 miles on it as opposed to the 140,000 on the old van. It has a really REALLY nice stereo system too. MAN I WANT IT NOW. (we have to wait until christmas to pick it up)

i know what you mean about the miles i put 35000 on it since i got it last year...do u have the built in car seat? thats kinda nice if you are picking up friends with kids too...what i really really like that my suv didnt have was LATCH omg what a convenience. i have 2 carseats and then my oldest is in the booster thing so thats easy....

lol waiting till christmas isstinky! especially this far out! how will u go xmas shopping without all that room?????????? :)

my suv had he bose stereo which was super much nicer and my leather seats were heated...thats something my minivan doest have becaues i learned that leather seats and children dont mix...they totally scratched them up with teh buckles on their patent leather shoes...among other things...but i havent seen anything yet that has EVERYTHING...

my kids take their ipods with them everywhere so i dont have to worry too much about the radio station or cds, etc...

thts awesome that your dad can do that for u

buying a car is such a huge investment and some of those car guys can be so sleezy u dont feel like u can trust them :)

must be nice to have a friend in teh business ;)

When I got my van in 2001, it was a year old and only had 20k miles on it (hiway). 5 years later, it has well over 150k. I have 2 in boosters and one in a car seat, although I'm tempted to switch her over. I do enjoy my van, though, bc I feel safer, being higher than cars, but at the same time, I would love a cute little sporty thing, like a ford mustang convertible, or a jeep. OR a Mitzubishi 3000 GT....LOVE those.

I have a honda prelude and I love it. It's my 2nd one to own. I like sporty cars cuz I like to zoom zoom. We also have an SUV but I make my husband drive it cuz it just doesn't have any power. LOL. But the mini vans look nice with all of the cool features they come with these days; I just don't think I will ever own one.

Yeah, now see, I wish I was rich enough to have 2 cars: one sensible SUV-type thing. For family traveling. The other for me to go out with . Alone. By myself. Especially on hot summer nights....ahhhhhh

No wonder you married him.

I've gotten into a 60's VW Rabbit, but that was in my wild teen years. IE, a few months ago when I needed a ride.

I have a Geo Prizm too!

YES. Jeeps. I drive jeeps version of a "grocery getter", at least thats what everyone calls em. But mine has a twist...

Sure there is still the rollover problem, but man oh man do I feel safe from collisions.
