I'm Bringing Sexy Back...

..YEAH!!

Alright, so I've been sick recently with blood problems, had to quit wrestling near the end of season and just got back to lifting today. This is my new journal because I thought I'd start fresh for a new season.

I used to be sexy, but I haven't lifted since November regularly due to wrestling season, so I've lost some muscle tone and a ton of numbers. Well thats all about to change. Starting now, I'm bringing sexy back

Stats
-17 years old
-5'7
-160 lbs.

-Wrestling
-Track
-Powerlifting

So officially, my workouts are back up. I couldn't lift Monday and Thursday I have a "Global Encounter" meeting because I'm going with about 15 other juniors/seniors from my school to build schools, hospitals, roads, and other infrastructure in Tijuana, Mexico. So I'm going to be lifting Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. I can't lift on Mondays for the next 2 weeks, so I'm going to be lifting Tues-Fri upper-lower split.

My diet sucks really badly, and always has. If anyone would like to take some time and maybe help me with a new diet that would be fantabulous =] I had somebody who I thought and they thought they knew diets and put me on a very specific timed eating schedule with portions and everything...didn't exactly go as planned lol. Though it was sick to just be like baam eat this at this time. Please be knowledgeable lol =]

I can't do the March powerlifting meet, so I'm going for the May one with big numbers. I'm going in there at 165, so I'd like to pack on as much muscle as possible, with very limited fat. Hopefully gain about 10lbs. max of as much muscle as possible so I can still be in the 165 lb. weight class range for the middle of May meet.

Hey Merc!

What did the previous diet look like and what is your current goal? Are you looking to gain some lean mass?

Hey Lee, great to see you're still around

My buddy was around the same height and weight with the same goals as me, only he was much more cut than I was at the time and so he based what he gave me off of what worked for him. But obviously things work for some and not necessarily for others.
This was it for school days on training days
-7:30 - breakfast - 2 cups of oatmeal, 1/2 cup of Soy Milk
-between breakfast and lunch - put 1 scoop whey into a water bottle and sip it in between classes
-12:30 - lunch -2 turkey and cheese sandwiches on wheat, 4 pieces of turkey/2 pieces of cheese per + bottle of water
-3:00 - workout
-around 4-4:30 - post workout shake 2:1 pro/carb ratio, whey and dextrose mix
-6:00 dinner - vague - salad with very little dressing if any, and he left dinner open. I generally had things like steak (YES!), chicken, stuff like that.
-pre bed - large class of Soy Milk, mix with 1 scoop whey if desired

That was what we basically worked out. Didn't really work as well as I thought it would. Worked for him, he kept gaining strength and keeping BF low. My water intake is always very high, so thats no problem at all.

My current goal is to pack on as much lean muscle as possible. I'm exploring the possibility of creatine. I've been reading around whenever I find the time and am thinking about Ethyl Ester. What do you think of me trying it out? Other supplements I've used that have worked well for me have been Nitrix and Hot Rox. I'll probably get some Hot Rox again, but don't think I'll get Nitrix.

Thanks Chillen :)

lmao @ Tony/Phate
I'm gonna have to agree with phate =P

I wasn't trying to do much, just get my muscles ready for working out regularly again. I don't know how I'm gonna be next week. This was the first weights I've done on my legs/back/traps since November. Hopefully muscle memory will kick in =]

Friday I will do a full I think, relative. I also will take photos this Saturday and want to take them on the first Saturday of every month until June. So get ready for some pics soon.

I'd skip the creatine, if you are looking to stay in the 165 lb class. Otherwise you'll be retaining so much water it will bump you into the next class. Better off being a 'real' 165 of good lean mass.

Not all the time, I never get bloat or water retention when i take creatine

True, not ALL the time. I never get bloat, but I definitely throw on pounds quickly with creatine usage and a lot of it is water, and this holds true with a lot of people that take it. For the average guy training this is fine, but if you are trying to maintain a weightclass for wrestling, I don't think it is worth experimenting with. The cons outweigh the pros in this scenario. IMHO.

Merc, don't you know that soy milk is pure evil?

Yeah, this guy always has a Soy shake post workout

Soo...some bad news.
First, I was all ready for the SATs Saturday, then they got postponed due to snow for the 15th. I was really ready for them =\ so that sucked.

Then the worse news, I got in a car accident on Thursday. So that really sucks. Plus my Dodge is pretty bad compared to the other kid's Lexus SUV. damnit...

SXIPro, I think you're right. Though supposedly with Ethyl Ester theres no bloat. But with the muscles filling up, I think I may just have to put it off until the summer, like I was originally planning. I'd rather not risk going into the 181. Though I'm not sure because last time at New Englands, we got ranked for 16-17 year olds is what I got my medal for, not a weight class. They do the ratio I believe (weight lifted over BW). So we'll see, things may change again.

Well you're coming off injury Jon. So...we both gotta work hard lol

Well I used to think that, until I compared the nutritional facts with the regular milk I was drinking

NBS, I think I may just have to try it and see what happens. Hopefully no bloat/retention for me as well.

really sorry to hear about that :( Stay strong, mate!
