I think they must put crack in this stuff.

"Poutine is a dish consisting of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy or sauce and sometimes additional ingredients. Poutine is a diner staple which originated in Quebec and can now be found across Canada."

I saw more pictures on Wiki. Kinda made me want to vom in my mouth a little.

Soooooo...it's a horrible, untasty version of chili cheese fries? Ick.

It appears to be very popular up north.
I think it might be a case of "Don't Knock It 'Til You Try It"

Definitely. I forced my American hubby to try is when he visited me in Canada for the first time before we were married. He was skeptical but once he tried it he loved it. I actually had some in Memphis Tennessee when my husband and I took a weekend trip in October. It's not just in Canada anymore.

Chili cheese fries and Poutine are completely different. Yes, they are both french fries with toppings but that's pretty much the only thing they have in common. And poutine is better.

Cheese curds are basically just small chunks of cheese. They don't really taste any different from regular cheese, as far as I can tell.

Yep. They're just a little waxier. I'm from Timmins Ontario which is home to what is considered one of the best places to get poutine and if your cheese curds don't make a squeaky noise in your mouth, the poutine is no good. It just isn't the same with shredded cheese. Mmmm.... poutine. Now I'm hungry.

Home sweet home!

Oh my god i love mac and cheese, we have it here in Australia and its so cheap as well, arrg!

I cant eat ice cream anymore and i love, i mean really really love ice cream. Especially my own home made white chocolate (not vanilla) with black peppercorn ice cream. Also don't think it's gross until you have tried it. its magic. The peppercorns give it this zing while you have that cool refreshing taste of the white chocolate ice cream. it is literally heaven to me.

Also i make a wicked Mint chocolate latte' ice cream that is amazing as well. It goes fantastic with a similar flavored creme brulee (i recommend a light latte flavored one)

God i have the worst cravings right now ha ha.

Anything involving cheese!! I'm obsessed with mac n cheese! Also, being Italian, I lost pasta! Oh and Nanaimo bars (for non canadians, look them up) and worst of all, POUTINE!!!

Why WHY would you mention poutine??????? Now I am craving it. Curly fry poutine with chicken gravy and cheese curds for the cheese. Yum. It's an evil thing. I need to just figure out a vegan alternative. That's all there is too it.

I think mine is (in no particular order):
My mothers lasagna.
Poutine (now....)
Triscuits (fire roasted tomato)
Pot stickers.
Hum Bao.
Home made alfredos.
