Manda
Well it sounds like you and I have a bit in commen. I am 27 I also have 3 Kids Kiera 6, Harrison 2, and Charlie Rose 1. I also have an underactive thyroid, I am on 150mcg of oroxine per day. I have pcos too which likes to make you fat, tired and lots of other unpleasnt things.:( I started cohens about a year ago and lost 10kg in my first 5 weeks I was loving it! Then I went away with my hubby and went completley off the rails. I had tried and failed many times to get back on it but it was always sooooo hard! I wish I could give you an easy answer to sticking to it but I am starting again now after putting 8kgs back on and it is still hard! But with the help and support of these lovely people in this forum, and lots of wont power (I wont have that chocie bickie) I know I can do it!!! And so can you!!:) :) :)

hey manda,
there seems to be lots of people here who get you! who understand and who too are having similar problems to you. I too have a underactive thyroid. i did cohen's in 2002 and sucessfully lost 12kg in a short space of time. had little support went of the rails never finished and didn't refeed! the last 4 years have been a constant battle to loose my weight with no avail other than yo-yoing. i picked up my new plan yesterday. i have a wonderful beautiful supportive partner now and am on my way to losing 20kg. it took me the last 4 years to regain that 12kg i lost (i had lost 26kg before i started in 2002 on my own) so this is the very last time i will have to wake up and hate what i see and feel. its onwards and upwards from here! we are all here to support you and please remember we get you and we understand!!!
Good luck hun

Hello

Just a thought,, make your self mini goals and post pics on the site when you have reached each goal. it helps me to stay focused and people will be asking have you lost that kilo yet.... does help, or start your own diary and write down your daily/weekly thoughts, battles and achievements, that way when you are having a down day you can read over them and see that you got through the last bad day and you will know that you can do it.... does that make sence.
good look
I'm rooting for you.

Starting Over

I was in the process of starting over today when I came across your thread

I too have 3 kids and a a thin husband who can eat enormous portions

But I just had a revelation - he or the kids don't make me eat or diet for that matter.

In fact they try to help me but how can they help when I am self medicating with stuck food, hiding in the bedroom.

I often fantasize about being locked up with only Cohen's food delivered 3 times a day so I don't have to make any choices

But after having said that - there will always be temptations and I have to learn how to live without overeating for comfort

I have had incredibly weight loss with this program and I am just going to pick up my from where I left off

I have lost 25kg since mid September which is amazing and I now only have to loose another 13.6kg which will happen when I do the next right thing one day at a time.

I have been reading this site everyday since I started and am comitted to sharing as I now believe I have something to offer.

Already I have given away everything over a 14 in my wardrobe much to my freinds delight and even enjoyed my birthday in a gorgeous 12 (I cried in the changing room for nearly an hour when I tried it on)

and would love to finally achieve my goal weight so my brother can give the 'weight watchers dropout - song and title to someone more deserving'

Keep on Cohen'sing - Karen
