"I MADE IT!" 300 pounds LOST!

:party::party::party::party::party::party:

PARTY TIME! My new theme song is "I Made It" by Kevin Rudolf! :smilielol5:

I Weighed in this morning at 193 pounds! 300 pounds lighter then I weighed December 2008!

Holy shit, that is truly an amazing accomplishment! I thought that when I went
from weighing 285 to 175 was something, but your result is truly impressive.

My main question is what did you do as far as staying motivated the whole
time, and how are you maintaining your weight? This is very interesting and
very important to me because it seems these are the two biggest problems
that folks are experiencing when trying to create permanent weight loss.

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Hey Jbig....

first off, I am so freaking stoked for you ! You are da' man !!!! :)

I just did a little measley weight loss thing myself.... I only went from 268, to 196, in 9 months.... to you, 72 lbs loss is like chump change, right ? ;)

But hey seriously, my best, long time friend has been obese all of his life. He's weighing right now, just about exactly what you did before you started your journey.

I'm just so concerned for my buddy. I mean, I love the guy like my brother, and I don't want him to die a long time before I do.

I know food addiction is just like alcohol, or drug addiction, and you can't force somebody to do something, they are not ready to, no matter how much you care about them :( :( :(

Do you have any advice, for my buddy.... or, for me to give to my buddy ?

He seems happy for me, and interested in my weight loss, but to him, it probably seems minor.

But hey, back to you....

Your story is absolutely awesome ! Unbelievably inspiring ! Just WOW !

The coolest thing, is that while you helped your self immensely, you have probably helped hundreds (thousands ?) of others, by showing them the possibilities !

Thanks so much,
Fish

Incredible Story, Very inspirational congratulations on your outcome, All the best for the future

Unbelievable. You have truly made my day. I have recently lost 60 pounds. Have about 90 more to go and have had a rough couple of days, not wanting to work out etc. I am inspired once again. Thanks.

What shoes did you wear? I need to find a good pair for myself. Im pushing 300 and I run about 5 minutes of the hour im on the treadmill on speed 7

Great job! You literally lost like a baby elephant in weight. That is ridiculous, man.

Guess I can stop complaining about having to lose fifty pounds now. :p

I have been using fairly expensive Asics for the treadmill. They are the best pair of runners I have had so far. I have very wide feet and Asics fit nice and wide. Nike's fit narrow I find and were killing my feet. I had a pair of Nike's right before my Asics and they were just terrible. I can't say enough positive things about Asics. The pair I have are the gel cumulus I think.

One thing to look forward to when you lose the weight is you don't utterly destroy shoes by crushing the soles anymore. The shoes I bought this spring are all good for another season no problem. Conversely the pair of Reebok's I wore for most of my weight loss are absolutely smashed. I demoted them to biking shoes, they still work for that.

Oh you might even go down a shoe size so be prepared for that too. Another thing to look forward to. Now that my pudgy fat feet have thinned out I actually dropped about a half to sometimes a full shoe size depending on the brand. My sketchers are an 11 and I used to wear a 12 or even a 13 in narrower brands. I have this old pair of leather motorcycle boots I spotted the other day and I decided to try them on, not even close to a fit anymore, they are leather so they are molded to the shape of my old fat feet.

Good shoes are a must in my opinion. I also suggest ignoring the advice of the people that will tell you to run barefoot and other nonsense like that. Proper shoes are great.

This is definitely good motivation for me. If you could 300 lbs, I can lose 20!!
How long did it take you to lose all the weight, and what did you do to motivate yourself whenever you felt like giving up?
