I cant get my mind to focus on fitness

Heya i need help getting my mind to focus on my health n fitness, im pretty healthy anyway, but ive wanted a lil 6 pack for ages now, n i cant seem to get my mind in gear to do it

ive recently had my 19th brithday, just two days ago n ive been eating birthday cake, which is mazipan n fruit cake, is this really bad?

Was the cake rotten or picked out of a trashcan? If it was, then yes, it was a bad thing; otherwise, no, not really.

Remember, it's the total diet that matters, not per meal. So just relax. Forget about the birthday. You had the cake, I hope you enjoyed it because it sounds good.

As for focus... everyone hates the gym one day or another. If you do it so often, you'll get tired of doing it one day. So best thing to do is rest a bit and go back when you feel like going back. Give yourself a break, I say.

im going back to calorie counting n training tomorrow, right now im working out what im gonna eat this week.

My biggest obstacle:

Overcoming mental weakness while dieting and learning how to appropriately deal with them: I have mastered it instead of it mastering me.

One truest form of wisdom is learning to "master yourself" within your fitness goals.

Learning rather quickly that the mind game one plays with ones self can either keep one on track, play a roller coaser ride, or throw one completely off track, and all the while, the body is waiting for you to get your S**T together one way or the other, because it "will" follow what you decide to do:

The body has no mind but will listen to your mind all the time.

Staying true to "yourself" and not letting anyone tell YOU what your goals are.

No matter what people tell you, the mind can play a "damaging" factor in fitness or a "positive and influencial" factor in fitness. Its "under estimated" and yet so powerful.

You can be the Master Plaster of your own Disaster or the Master Caster of your body Plaster.

You decide which it is.

Don't under estimate "whats happenen in your head" and have it apart of your fitness goals.

Learning what motivates you as everyone is different. If something motivates you, and someone else doesnt understand,----"who cares". Its works for you.

Failure can be a "poison" or a "benefit". You decide which one it is.


Its gonna be difficult with our time difference to get in touch on yahoo, but lets workout on it, and get this motivational issue fixed.

wow thanks Dallen, LV, and Chillen, this is great advice, yeah im starting to see the journey is about using what uve got to its full potetial n dont let some things get in the way

I will defiantly post my progress, i hope i do make some more in the near future

Heya Dallen, yeah im good thanks apart from i got a cold but its getting better, ive managed to keep my diet pretty much clean this week, so im doing good, i anit been working out these last 2 days, just resting to get rid of my cold

A bit of cake aint too bad as long as you don't overeat daily. Start doing aerobics sis.

My friend, Jackie, has VERY LIMITED equipment to use for her personal fitness (if one would have followed her journal from the "beginning" they would know this), and likewise, aerobics are limited as well.

Some personal background is "necessary" before commenting on possible reccomendations. I am going to assume, your present posting will be rather...short, if you continue, and IF you made another screen name.

Hey mobeile phone fella, I don't know who you think you are or who you are (there is a difference). I was told some things about this site and you are proving them true. People like you will drive out genuine people who need help, just look at the way you butted in the aerobics thread.

I have over 4,000 posts, and the mods think differently. You have 16 and your former screen name is comparably posted, and you have been banned once, and will potentially be, twice.

Chillen banned = 0.

You need to take some time and read through the forum. I know "most" of the persons on this forum within the limits that the forum allows me to. This is the difference between me and you.

Unless you switch gears and play into rules provided, you are truely making your own path.

Happy birthday, and I hope you enjoyed the cake. One should always enjoy cake occasionally.

Getting into fitness, for the first or the fiftieth time, is always difficult.

Without further information from you, it would be irresponsible of me (or anyone else for that matter) to make any specific recommendations as to what type of exercise you should be doing.

Mentally, though, you must decide what you truly want, and how much you are willing to give in order to get it - then go from there.
