Hyphenated last name

The only people I see hyphenating are the girls I went to high school with so the rest of us can find them on Facebook, since we don't know who the fuck Jennifer Smith is, but we can figure out that we went to high school with Jennifer Jones Smith.

When I was married I never hyphenated my name, I took my ex-husband's last name. And when we split up, I took my maiden name back.

i personally don't have a problem with the hypen name thing but my maiden name and my husband's name were way to long and the boys have long enough names as it is so i just took my husband's last name although i thought it was weird when at the court house they asked if he was going to take my last name or i was going to switch to his. i didn't know you could even do that. lol

I think something a lot easier would be to combine the two names.

Like, "Simone" or "Jonith".

See, the problem with hyphenated names, let's say two people with hyphenated names get together, so what do they do? Well they hyphenate four names together....doesn't sound too cool.
