Hit and run posters?

There seems to be some posters who post the "my wife/gf needs to keep fit" but the language used means the poster is either a prankster or he has mistaken this for the Jerry Springer show.

The problem with spam is not as bad but considering that some of their posts have been stickied it means that the spammer is receiving undue credit. Spam should be canned not the spammers put on a pedestal.

Lol, this time of year is Heaven and Hell at the gym, December will be heaven because it'll be empty but January is a pain in the butt. Thankfully not many of the January crew know what a squat rack is so it isn't all bad

Ten reasons for drive by posting:

10. Not everyone is a good fit for the forum and they realize this after posting.
9. Negative replies to their post send them packing.
8. Forgetting where they posted (some people out there are super dumb).
7. Not understanding that it takes time for people to respond. (I know at least one person who doesn't understand that threads are not exactly like chat rooms with instant responses).
6. Spam
5. Not liking realistic replies to their post can send some people running.
4. Lack of motivation.
3. The sole purpose was to jerk people around.
2. They went back to work.
1. Some people just like to tell others their problems or questions and don't give a rats a$$ about anyone's replies.

Perhaps the drive by posters are not as bad as those who start posts with insufficient information -> not even stating whether they are trying to cut/bulk etc and then sometimes start a second post wondering why the first post was unanswered. C'Est La Vi?

Erm, that'll be me. Sorry.

What can happen is that you get a load of good advice and you don't think you can respond until you've had some time to digest the advice and work out how you're going to use it, then you wait until you've enough time to post a response worthy of the advice and the next thing you know you're busy with something else.

Hit and run posters can seem annoying, but most of us don't really know much about each other, and there can be umpteen reasons why people seem to leave threads without acknowledging other people's efforts.

I don't know why but my gym the born again resolutioners have started early! The good news is that they pretty much stay out of the free weight area but man alive they like to stay chained to the cardio machines. I can only imagine the onslaught come January.
