I used to eat a lot of fruit but stopped since I found out that it made me feel sluggish and that it was harder to lose weight on.

I got into a moderately heated debate about these commercials on a blog- someone defending them said, "but HFCS is just as good as table sugar" and then a bunch of technical crap. I kindly reminded him that if there was a national campaign touting that table sugar was "good for you in moderation!" everyone would be up in arms. Just because it (argueably) doesnt hurt you, doesnt mean we need to encourage people to eat more of it.

Premise 1: HCFS is good for you, under certain very specific circumstances

Premise 2: HCFS is not all that different from most sugars

Conclusion: HCFS IS ALWAYS GOOD FOR YOU, AT ALL TIMES, AND YOU SHOULD EAT MOAR!

I am a pop culture scientist.

P.S. It really is delicious though. Fat free chocolate milk PWO. Mmmm, yeah.

lol, even if your 2 premises were true, the conclusion doesn't build on them! :p You need to read up on your Aristoteles

I don't like the commercials, but you can't argue with the moderation part. Consuming a small amount every once in a while in combination with a healthy exercise program won't cause you to become fat or get heart disease. What's bad is drinking 6 sodas a day (which apparently some people can do). One every once in a while won't hurt.

that commercial pissed me off so much when i saw it. what a cheap shot to get people to eat ****ty.

It may effect and influence, sorry to say, the vast majority whom view the commercial.

But, it has a different effect and influence on the person in the know.

IMO, (and most know how I feel about HFCS so I will not bore you), have more problems to be concerned with than HFCS.

Controlling their internal self-government when it applies to their diet, and conforming to the circumference of rules "one must" follow in order to meet their fitness goals.

This is the "greater" problem.

Additionally, HFCS can be eaten (in moderation) and one "can be" fine. However, you screw up the circumference of your diet........

Stick a fork in yourself.

You are...............>Done.

Best wishes
