Help! I think I am stuck!

I had to read my post again to make sure I hadn't lost my mind.

To Paul:

I'm not fat phobic. What I'm saying is that low-carb diets aren't all they are cracked up to be. They are very energy efficient in terms of the fats you do eat.

Energy in energy out is a basic principle that holds true generally, however a high carb/low fat diet is one of those diets that breaks that rule. That's not to say it's better, but to say it doesn't work would be incorrect.

However in terms of endurance and glycogen levels in muscle, a low-carb diet for an athlete is ridiculous.

As for weight loss, as ive said hundred times before, it works because people get satiated from meat and fat exclusively. Since it's hard to stomach getting your extra calories from those sources, it works by default. It also makes people more carb-conscious afterwards, which allows maintenance to be easier. But in terms of body composition, i'm not a fan of it.
