Sport Healthiest Cereal?

Sport Fitness
7g Fiber

6g Soluble fiber
1g insoluble fiber

not what mine says:

I haven't read this whole thread. But from what i now understand breakfast doesn't mean you have to eat cereal.

Cereal is more or less fast-food at breakfast time. If you put the effort it making some toast, eggs, oatmeal etc or find some recipes it's going easily a more healthy option than what any cereal can provide you with.

But if those with more knowledge wish to :boxing_smiley: beat me senseless for my garbled non-sense or repeated idea, please go ahead.

wtf....must have mis-read it.

Whats the difference between insoluble and soluble fiber?

The difference is primary that soluable fiber can dissolve in the bowel (and is the culprit for some people getting the "stinky gas" :)) when consumed, while insoluable fiber can absorb a lot of water and isnt broken down as easily.

what about kashi heart to heart

Nutritional information here:

Looks like it has high fiber and has whole oats and oat bran as the first two ingredients, but sugar and (probably refined) corn as the next three ingredients. Sugar is 20% of total carbohydrates (25% of non-fiber carbohydrates), which is somewhat more than optimal.

Kashi cereals with lower sugar as a percentage of total carbohydrates include Kashi Nuggets, Kashi Pilaf, Kashi Flakes, and Kashi Puffs.

What about the Quaker Oatmeal Squares.
It has something like 6g of protein, 6g of fiber, 4g fat, rich in minerals and vitamins. I think it has 210 calories.

Vector cereal is what I eat but I'd like to hear what people have to say about it as well...
