Does everyone who is participating use a food journal that records nutrients and stuff
Does everyone use walking/bicycling something that will give you a distance as a form of exercise


I do not have food journal.:) I eat very simple foods and if needed can easily start to write it down dayly. I do exercise every day (Sundays are my days of rest) 3.4 miles on treadmile inclined. + 3 times a week weight resistant training. 9 hours of work outs per week in all.

just enquiring about the exercise and food journals because fitness and h ealth are more than just a number on a scale, and I want people to get 'credit" for doing some thigns - so weekly there will be an opportunity for bonus points :)
 
I record everything on WW for points, but can look up calories, etc. if needed. About half of my exercise is from walking, so I can get distance for that much.:)
 
I just mark down my calories for the day, I don't record all the details - I can, I have a sparkpeople and fitday account, I just hate doing it ;)

I also walk.

I keep a diary here of every single food that I eat and the calorie and

I have a spark people account and I do eliptical and free weights so I can log how many miles I do and how many calories/nutrients I consume.
 
I want to join, I just got internet back, yay:) I have a step counter and my spark people account records all the info from the things I eat (spark people is awesome by the way)
 
I do the biggest looser dvd and pilates for my excersize. I don't really keep track of what I eat, but thats something I REALLY have to start doing!!! This is so exciting for me, its my comeback challenge to myself!

As far as 'twists' go...just a suggestion...when we used to have long challenges like this, we'd have it where one week was 'most water drank' and "most excersize" stuff like that. We always talked about having "stars" put in our sigs, as a reward, but I guess no one got around to making them??

Anyways, I'm excited to start!!!

you're reading my mind on the twists... :D

i'm sure there's a talented graphics person who could create "awards"... if not i can google like there's nobody's business... :D

and just to avoid a potential issue (this came up elsewhere) i just want to m ake sure that no one will be offended by halloween themed names for teams - it being a pagan style holiday and all :D I'm really just in it for the caramel :D
 
OOO I like the idea of twists.

I haven't been calorie counting lately, but I will do whatever the challange calls for.:D
 
i'm not sure yet if that will be one of the twists.. water and exercise are definitely on the list.. I don't want people to change what they're doing if it's working for them- -but i know some of the loss only challenges could get alittle frustrating if people weren't losing - but were still workig their butts off -hence -- bonus points :D
 
Maybe you could have like a Miss Congeniality award too.... there's always someone out there that's bubbling with energy and helps to keep us going!
 
I have a diary that I log my food in, I don't typically do the calorie/fat intake thing per se but I can, wouldn't be too hard to do.

I walk/run and go to Curves 3 days a week...I can measure the walking and running. Just bought myself a new pedometer the other night so I can measure down to the step! :D

As far as the names, I'm down for theme names. I'm a Halloween baby, it's all gravy to me baby...oops, sorry for the food reference! :D
 
If everyone would be willing to get a cheap pedometer we could have a High Stepper award for who walked the most steps in a day/week. I just want to get a prize for using my pedometer. ROTFL :D :D Feel free to ignore me! LOL
 
For exercise, while i'd love to see everyone have a pedometer, counting minutes will be fine by me :D

Now - I'm soo not feeling creative.. team names.. I want ahalloween theme - but also a weight loss fitness related... and i'm stuck
