Hairyness

A bit of hair on a guy is okay! If you are really hairy, I'd suggest trimming it. My husband shaved his chest and belly and if he didn't shave every day he got really prickly and I hated that! Now he trims (like with a beard trimmer) and it looks more natural because there's a tiny bit of hair and feels better too.

If you want to be bald, I'd say go with waxing or Aussie Nad's (Sugaring). That way you won't be itchy.

Look i've seen waay hairier guys. But im afraid people will think im gay or some stupid **** if i trim my hair or wtv. I mean my dad ****ing cursed mea nd left the table he was like "Christ dont ever tell your grandfather that" then he said "If people find out u shaved ur chest they will never let it go"

And it relly hurt. I'm not the only guy. and how much trimming should i do.. **** man. Im gettin all down about this **** and it's not my fault im hairy wtf. I have hairy legs and it goes up to my ass :D what a lovely picture. No of course im not hairy like a monkey... ooh ooh ah ah lol

Times have changed since the days of the insecure males of you father's and gradfather's day. Bottom line, if you feel better shaven, shave. Whatever makes you feel good about you.

Personally, I only get chest hair around the nipple.:( It's really gross lookin (to me anyway) so I take my clippers to it regulary. Also, I get so much underarm hari that you can see it with my arms down. I shave it too. And I keep other areas neat an trimmed. Not smooth, just 0 guard or so...The wife seems to like it, but has never complined. Most importantly, I like it.

Shaving doesn't make you gay. Being attracted to members of the same sex make you gay.

Thats good.
Shaving and trimming is also good for hygeine purposes. The more hair under your arms or downstairs, the more sweat and bo can stay in these areas. That is something that will deflect anyone, not just the ladies. Just tell your dad you're starting to have feelings for Jim the neigbor, lol.

I have a hairy chest, belly, back and now face. I hate shaving and will only lose the beard when I get a job which requires me to. I guess I'm quite lucky cause the hair on my chest and back stops at about half an inch and my arm pit hair isn't to thick. If somebody doesn't like it then thats their problem cause I aint doing anything about it.

I can only speak personally, I am a little hairy and my wife loves it, especially on my chest. She won't let me shave it. I do however as Jenn put it keep it trimmed neatly. I must admit i shaved my stomach and underarms and other regions Jenn mentioned but that is just a personal preference.
As for what your Dad said or thinks you have to do what you feel is right. You can't go through life basing your decisions on what others think. With that said by all means you should always respect your Dad, that should go without saying. Lastly as for the girls, they will like you for you and no matter what type of body hair you have. Be true to yourself, life is too short.

U have a point there. No girl is worth shaving for....if she likes you, she likes you the way you are. If she doesn't MOVE ON.

Having said that, I like men shaved in the nether regions. However, for chest....hmmm...I think it depends. I like them both ways. My hubby has just enough chest hair to be sexy. Too much, however, would be well....for me....just nasty. LOL Although just once would I like to be able to kiss a chest that is bald.....I can picture a nice hard body with no hair on chest....yum.....oh wait...what are we talking about again????

I think a hairy man is HOT! It shows that they've got plenty of testosterone. Leave it alone, learn to love it, that's my advice. If you fall in love with a woman who says she hates body hair, then by all means, wax, but otherwise I don't think it's a problem. Lots of women either like or don't mind body hair on a man. For me it's a turn-on. :)

JENN ever heard of the edit button! its there for a reason! lol no offense...
btw it depends on the girl dude... you just have to ask the girl your trying to impress. haha big muscles always impress them more though...
i would leave the arm hair alone though... most girls worry more about chest or back hair on guys.
i mean your guy friends might think its weird that you have no arm hair.

I pretty much agree with everyone else. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing and don't listen to whatever negative things other people will say. Those who care about you for who you are are what matter, not the ones who care about you for what you do. Keep that in mind and just enjoy yourself and your life. :) It's all a personal preference issue. Some women like hairy men, some trimmed, some smooth, etc. Do whatever you like and the right person will accept you for who you are.

I'm chiming in kind-a late but here it goes. IMO, guys are supposed to have hair in certain places where women don't. Like arms and legs. Personally I don't like guys who over groom.

My guy does his nether region which I don't mind-like it rather-and I'm just used to it by now. He also does he underarms every now and then which to be honest with you I would rather have somewhere in between:eek: (TMI I know)...I don't say anything but that would be my preference.

I don't mind a little hair on the chest or stomach so long as it's not unrully and def. no back hair. For me hair is partially what makes a man a *man*...

Having said that, I think we all agree that you should do what is comfortable for you. Your dad just comes from a different generation and you may not be able to change his viewpoints on certain topics.

I'm pretty hairy... chest/stomach really hairy but not that bad... I have seen many with more... however I don't have much on my back... a couple of spots and have though about waxing them... more because I think it looks wierd...

My wife likes the hair on my chest but also dislikes the hair on my back... but stubble is worse than hair...

Look... generally speaking girls aren't impressed by looks as much as you would think... IMHO girls want a guy who cares less about his looks than they do about theirs...

that being said if you don't like the hair get rid of it...
