Sorry I haven't been on in a bit. I've been working crazy shifts. Work's been making it hard to get to the gym, but Im trying. If I don't go to the gym I go for a jog or walk. I've been trying to keep my meals as regular as possible. Im glad to hear everyone is doing well. Is it hard for you guys who are counting calories? I should get going, I have to check on my dinner. I will try to be on this time again tomorrow.
 
It's not that hard counting calories, and its really worth the extra effort!

My problem is we are still out of water, completely. We were out yesterday and I thought one day would not affect me but it really did. I felt sluggish all day, only did 1/2 of my tae bo, I had no energy and felt exhuasted. On top of all that I didn't got to the bathroom all day. Dehydrated. So I thought I was going to make it to the store today as soon as Allyson went to school but my muffler fell off my Yukon last night, and there is no way I can drive that loud ass thing with out getting a ticket for noise pollution, although a harley can go down the street full open throtle and not even get a blink from a cop.
So, hopefully I can ride my bike to the store and get some water. I am ver affraid though. I have to drive on a small stretch of highway, or go over a bridge, and tell you the truth I am affraid of streets.
When I was 13 I was ran over by a van. Ever since then I'm affraid.....
I dint know, should I go get the water? I really need it...... plus we have no food anyway... argghhh... Otherwise I have to wait for Phil to get home and thats 11 hours from now.
Anyway, good luck to you ladies, and wish me luck too, I'm gonna need it!
 
Hey girl sorry for your troubles. I know about car issues that's for sure. Well hopefully you make it to the store, but wow ran over by a van...I'd understand why you wouldn't want to ride your bike there. Well good luck girl I hope your day goes great!

Yesterday my day was not so great...I did good throughout the day and then completely fell off the food wagon at night. ugh! I did do really well on my water though so that's a plus, and thanks to Korrie (newbride) I managed to get a walk in at least. :)

Glad to see you back Lucygirl, hope things calm down on your end. :)

Hello all,

Christina, I highly reccommend getting a water filter for your kitchen sink. It is much cheaper and more convienent than buying bottled water. If you keep an extra filter cartridge on hand, you will never be out of water. That must really suck not to have water. Jeff and I could never afford to buy only bottled water. we both drink a lot plus we cook w/ the filtered water as well. I hope you can get your car fixed soon. car troubles really suck :( Hey, thanks to you I did my pilates ab video last night. It was really difficult but I made it through it. good job on the exercise, you didn't feel great but you still did the best you could, thats admirable, I probably would have just laid down w/ my kitties and watched the news if I felt the way you did.

water another 32 oz. giving me a total of 112 oz for the day. wow I don't think I have ever drank that much water in one day.

Well you girls keep up the good work! christina get that water! Coastergirl good job on the water and exercise. evenings are tough, i know you will do better tonight. Lucygirl, glad to hear from you thats great that you are trying to work exercise into your busy schedule, thats very challenging , I think its good that you are able to eat healthy even though you don't watch calories. At this time, I have to be very disciplined and count every calorie or I will get way off track. Tonight I won't be able to count the calories I eat though because my bf and i are going to a benefit dinner at a vegan restaurant to raise money for the animals affected by Katrina, but at least its vegan so I can't be too bad.

you'd be suprised how many vegan's are over weight too! You'd think they'd be super healthy and all. I have one friend who is vegan and she is stick thin, and her best friend who is also vegan is about the same size as me... so everyone is diff. Hope you get some yummy food there anyway.
AWESOME for you to be able to help the animals that were affected as well. I would so be there if I could.

I will look into the filter for the kitchen sink. I think I was supposed to get one from my grandpas house after he passed on, but I have not been there since. Too much for me right now. Guess I should do it b4 the house sells though......

Buying bottled water can get very expensive. Walmart is cheap though! ;)

Well, I should go digging for lunch, and get tae BO in now.....

I just finished aligning our brand new telescope. Getting ready for tonight, if the clouds and rain go away..... fingers crossed!

I hope I find something cool up there..... which I'm sure I will..... space is so amazing. Did you know there is only 5 miles of atmosphere protecting us from space? I think I got that right.... I dunno... dumb girl trying to be smart. LMAO
 
Alrighty girls we're one week into our program. One left to kick it in to high gear. I haven't been doing so well or giving it my all this past week. From this point on I'm doing the best I can. If I get down, I'll get back up and keep going. I'm determined to lose this weight and keep it off. I'm so motivated today I wish I could give everyone else a little bit of what I'm feeling.

Christina you're doing really well too, especially on getting that TaeBo and water in (although I know water has been a problem lately) Lucygirl I'm glad to see you checked in and all is well on your end. Amanda, thanks for the "doing terrific" I have to be this disciplined in order to keep on track when I exercise it helps me to eat better, when I eat better, i have the energy to exercise. i can't do one w/out the other.
Oh, Christina, my bf is just like your dad, when he can't sleep in the middle of the night he seems to eat everything in site :D There have been times when I wake to the smell of pancakes in the middle of the night and also find a pizza box that wasn't there when i went to bed. Its kinda funny. I am glad I am not like that though.

Well last night, I didn't do too bad at the vegan resturaunt but I could've done better. The meal was buffet style. I had little spoonfuls of several different tofu and vegie dishes and a bowl of watermelon. I stayed away from the fried foods and had brown rice. It was really good. I love going to vegetarian resturants. I can order anything on the menu and not have to worry about any meat products being in what I am eating.
well anyway i know i ate more than the 320 cal i had left for dinner so I will have to say I was bad w/ food yesterday, but onto a new day!

Exercise:

water: 32 oz. I still need to eat breakfast. Oh I did have 1 T flax oil before exercise 110 cal. I think I will have oatmeal for breakfast.

Ok, yesterday I had 1310 cal 96oz water. I did not to Pilates last night. I really do not feel good ( I have a pretty bad cold) I went to bed at 8:30 but couldn't get myself up early enough this mornig to go to the gym. So I guess today will be my day of rest. I hope I feel better tommorrow and can get to the gym.

I did ride to work today 200 cal and will ride home another 200 cal burned.
water so far today: 36oz.

Julieann~ oh thank you. The water is great to have! I've been trying hard the past few days or so... I still have my fall-out here and there...

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. It sounds like everyone is doing well. Im trying to keep up. I was just at the doctors for a physical, he told me that I need to loose weight. I told him Im trying and that I have lost some weight. That was kind of a bummer though. I had some blood work done to check my glucose and thyroid. With my weight being so high and my family history I have a high chance for diabeties. What are you using for motivation? My health is my number on motivation, and my boyfriend and I are planning a trip next spring and I want to enjoy it so that is my second motivation. After a long day at work I just don't seem to have any energy left to do anything. Is there anything I can do to keep my energy levels up. I have to run, now Im off to work again. Good luck eveyone, we can do this.
 
Lucy, try exercising in the morning as soon as you get up. Then get ready for work and all that. It will give you more energy throughout the day! It will help you stand tall and proud becuae you accomplised the exercise first thing.
The trip next spring is AWESOME motivation, drill it in your head, its what you want its what you need.
Yeah, all my docs tell me to lose weight. They think I dont already know it or something! LOL

hey lucygirl, Christina is right working out in the morning is the best. It doesn't leave any room for things getting in the way of your exercise. I have to do my exercise in the morning or I don't do it at all. I also feel drained after work. I just read a study yesterday that people who work out in the morning are the most likely to stick to their workout program. It is hard at first to get up earlier but your body does adjust pretty quickly. and you will have more energy during the day and sleep better at night.

anyway yesterday i ate 1315 cal and burned only 400 cal w/ exercise

today exercise 645 cal burned
eating on plan today.

we are almost there girls. keep up the good work. drink that water get that exercise!

Alrighty girls, back to it! I know I haven't done well so I'll really be surprised with a loss on Wednesday. With my birthday and all it was extremely difficult. But I'm still getting up and working at it. With the birthday out of the way, I'm going to have nothing stopping me now. lol How did everyone else do over the weekend?! WATER WATER WATER (only 2 more days) ruh roh
 
Damn you too?! I had a bad eating weekend! Let me tell you ! And I hurt my hips so now I can not do my tae bo!
YIKES 2 more days..... I will be happy as long as I didnt gain weight over Sat and Sun!
Weigh in on Wednesday..... gotta find a way to sweat without hurting hips,,......
 
Yeah I know what you mean girl! Let's at least rock it these last two days. Yeah I know what you mean with just being happy without a gain!
 
Hello girls, I was bad this weekend w/ food too. I did do my exercise though. I do not know how you girls can keep yourself of the scale so long. I am addicted. I think I have weighed myself like 5 times since we started this club. Oh well.

Well back on track for the week. we all need to be very good so we have a loss to report on Wed.
Christina, I am sorry you hurt your hips, if swimming is an option that would probably be something that would not hurt. maybe bike riding too. it's the second least impact exercise that i know of. It will probably be fine to take a couple of days off exercise anyway. Our bodies do need rest. Just try to be good about what you eat and you will probably still lose some weight.

Hey girls,

How are you doing today? Tomorrow is our weigh-in!

I am being very bad w/ my food. Yesterday I had 1410 cal not counting the rice/broccoli/ tofu I had for lunch. I do not know how many cal in it but probably at least 500. I am still doing good on the exercise except for my running goal. I am trying to build up to running 30 min straight by Thanksgiving so I can run w/ my neice in CA while I am visiting for the week, and also for my own acomplishment. running has always beat me. I am on week 3 of the program and should be walking 4 min and running 6min 3X. On Sunday I tried this but on the last set, I could only run for 40 seconds. I have not been able to try again because of shin splints. Any advise would be greatly welcomed. so I have been doing the arc trainer everyday for 45 min. and I did lower body strength today. I have had 80 oz water so far today and i am eating on plan.

Have you girls recovered from the weekend? Are you back on plan? I hope so. I know it's hard but you can do it! Drink that water and get that exercise!

Christina, how are your hips doing? I hope better.
