getting bored with protein shakes.

im getting bored with taking protein shakes. they just keep getting harder to get down. i gag just thinking about them now. i know i can put fruit in it and all that ****, and to avoid the thickness, add more liquid, but that still leaves a lot to drink. i find it gross. its turning more into a chore. im not trying to be negative or anything, just hoping u guys can share some experiences and what u did to deal with it. also, my protein powder says 2 scoops equals one serving. would it be ok if u did one scoop at one point in the day, and took the other scoop a little later? or is that not good? please help...

You should consider finding a new whey. Try ON 100% Whey. I seriously look forward to my shakes everyday they taste so good.

+1 for ON brand protein flavor and consistency. mixes easy, tastes like candy (almost).

Also, how many shakes are you taking? remember a protein powder is to supplement your protein intake. some people eat enough protein and never use a single shake. others only use it for post workout nutrition.

Vanilla is a good flavor because you can easily add stuff to it: orange juice (for an orange julias taste), berries and other fruits.
the only thing I'll add to chocolate is instant coffee, for a mocha flavor.

I as well us ON. You just have to know how to mix it is all. There are tons of recipes out there. If it means anything i hated it until i found the right smootie, now I swear part of my workout is just to guilt free have that shake. Its so so good.

right but how many grams of protein are in each scoop?

i dunno, 10? the back says 20 grams, but i dont see anything that tells u whats in one scoop. my guess would be ten. what does it matter anyway? can i take one scoop now and another later or not?

It matters because if the scoops are really big and you are only getting 20g for 2 scoops, theres a lot of other junk in there. read the label and make sure there isnt more than 2g of fat in there. Also, it could be loaded with sugar. check the sugar content as well.

My suggestion to you, if my hunch is correct, is to get some better whey. ON 100% whey is 24g for 1 scoop. Which makes it last longer than what you have, and of course, would require a bigger shake.

It is also possible the scoops are different sizes how much liquid does it say to add to 2 scoops?

You have some bad whey than. Optimum Nutrition is what they mean by "ON". It is good, probably the best brand.

Mine only took one small scoop to have 23g of protein.

well it only has 1g of fat an 2g of sugars per 20g of protein. Thats not too bad. ON is generally considered the best bang for your buck, and its all I've ever used so i might be a little biased. But as far as flavor, quality, and price you just cant go wrong with ON. (man i sound like I own stock in the company ;) )

u dont have to right come out and tell me what i have is "bad". if its so "bad" why has it done a lot for my gains? be more gentle on my sensitivities. id do the same for u.
