Downs and Ups
Hi everyone,
I always try to stay positive but I am finding it rather difficult at the moment.
10 weeks gone - 16 to go!
I lost 17lbs the first month and 17lbs the second month and in this third month I have managed to loose only 1. I've never quite recovered from my blockage of the stomach by the balloon and still don't feel I can eat properly. I can't manage 3 small meals a day, it's too much.
The dreaded smelly burbs and explosive 'bottom burps' have just arrived. I'm taking charcoal capsules but it doesn't help - it's so embarrassing.
When I was in hospital at the begining with the blockage I didn't want the balloon out - but this past week I have been tempted to call to have it removed.
My stomach always seems bloated, my skin is dry and my hair seems to be falling out. My hair is longer than I normally have it so perhaps I'm just noticing it more.
Add to this my constipation, lack of energy and being uncomfortable when I sit (spend the evenings lying on my left side with my feet raised as instructed) and I am just miserable.
My nutritionist hasn't phoned for 2 weeks (supposed to phone weekly) so now have to chase them again!
I don't think I'm eating enough - most days no more than 600 - 800 calories - so why no weight loss?
After reading all of your comments the above doesn't seem to be unusual and everyone seems to have had these type of experiences. So please tell me how to overcome this lot.
On the up side I am 35lbs lighter and wore a suit to work yesterday that I haven't had on for a very long time - perhaps as much as 2 years (I've only wore it twice before).
Also previously when I got 'down' I would eat - now I can't. Every cloud eh!
I'm off now to do more research on the mysteries of eggy burps.
Joanie
