the cheapest here right now is 2.87,however in so jersey this weekend it was 2.84.

I grew up there... my dad always told me that Oklahoma gas was less expensive because it came from Oklahoma (I guess he was trying to say that the state was self-sufficient when it comes to fuel). We would drive past a field with an oil rig in it, my mom would say how ugly they were and dad would comment that they kept the gas prices down, lol. I have no idea it that's true.

I wouldn't think so considering I'm in Texas, and we are surrounded by oil and oil refineries (they are all over the place around here).

Right now, it's about 2.89 which isn't much cheaper than a lot of places. Hell, my husband works in one of them, and we don't get a discount, of course, they do give us $50, $75, and $100 gas gift cards pretty often.
