Fitness Models

Damnit....I'm always late on the good deals...!
 
Looks like anything you would see on a lot of the fitness models sites. Its for the benifit of the guys not the women. It isn't like shape or anything like that thats for sure, but its no different than any other fitness mag. I don't think its offensive, its just typical. No big. Now mind you I've yet to see any small chested women in theose mag's (not that I've noticed anyway) so for me thats my only beef. And girls I hate to tell you but those are fitness models, just not the varitey you might aspire to be, nothing more.

I was not putting anybody down. If they want to be a fitness model, that's fine with me. I don't have the body they are looking for, so that's why I made that comment.
 
Well, obviously I don't look at fitness magazines then LOL...I just see the stuff my SO gets and it all looks the same :p

Or maybe I have been...mmm

I think that its either one way or the other. Mag like shape that aren't really that great or the mag's that are more for the guys. Most fitness models do shots that are more revealing. They work hard to have hard bodies and there is nothing wrong with chosing to show it off. Mag's like maxim are very popular and if you look at the advertising for a lot of things fitness or otherwise, thats what sells. Socity has made it this way so I think that we should not gripe at the ppl that make the magh's unless you are willing to point the finger at yourself too. I personally am not offended by the way things have gone in fact when I see pic's like that I either turn away or think damn I want abs like that I wonder what her routine is like etc.I think that if someone is offended they should just not look. Don't shoot the messenger. All she is doing is offering an oppurtunity for those that would like to participate. Go google fitness models and check out the sites. Its no different, beautiful fit women showing off their bod's. Tell me whats wrong with that. You work your ass off, you want it to be appreciated.
 
mmm, well I guess I just don't know what a fitness model is. I was just comparing the pics to the pics in my SO's magazines: Maxim, FHM, Playboy...doesn't offend me, otherwise I wouldn't allow those magazines in my home, lol

Edit: (maxim,fhm,playboy:I didn't consider any of those 'fitness':eek:)

well perhaps instead of accusing it as porn or dirty etc....it would be better to ask what fitness modeling is all about. Like Jenn said, don't put other models or people down because they're successful or they work hard for what they do. Trust me, I bust my ass in the gym to have my body and get dirty looks all the time. So it's my fault I have good genetics and work out hard??

We should appreciate women like this! Not put then down....most of the world today is over weight. I'm pleased when I see another woman showing off her hard work! More power to her!
 
I don't think I put anyone down I was just giving my opinion on what I thought fitness modeling was or wasn't.

I've actually done a little bit of modeling myself (for a local photographer's studio) so I, too, look good and work hard ;) But I don't notice dirty looks on me, people admire how hard I work...

All I was saying is go google fitness models and take a look at their sites. You'll find many of the same pic's there. It's the nature of the beast. I remain neutral on the whole topic.
 
Lets get nasty eh! Everyone jump down everones throat so that everyone else feels put out or like crap. We all have a right to our opinions and to not feel like an ass about it. Instead of dissing others look at all points first. Be fair to everyone that comes on here. Thats the point!!
 
IMO, I think most of those girls look too smooth to be fitness models. I like nice and ripped kinda like someone in this thread... ;) @ Jenn lol

This whole thread has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. This woman gives whomever wants it the oppurtunity to do some modeling if they would like too. Then all the members that responded answer with disgusting replys. Calling these women porn queens etc.. Well you know what I'm at the end of my rope here. These women choose to pose and model ok. ITs their job, you know to make money!! I would like to see some of you have the balls to get out there and show your bodies off. I work my ass off at the gym and it shows. I toot my own horn in my picture thread bc I am proud of what I have done. I post in my underwear so am I a porn queen, not!!! Far too often I see others here belittle what someone else choses to do to make money. Face if mag's like Shape are candy mag's there are only a few worth looking at for content. These women are posing for the guys and to provide modivation for girls to get off their asses and workout. They work hard for what they do and don't deserve to be cut up like you all on here seem to think is okay. What gives you all the right to think you are so much better, above these Porn Queens. Our society has shaped what we look at, read etc. So if you don't like what you see, point the finger where it belongs, at all of us. I was considering checking more into that site so does that make me a slut!! hmmmm no. I am a paramedic, and a single mom without support. The chance for extra cash because I work my ass off at the gym. Ya I'll take it. It's far easier than risking my life and dealing with tragedy everyday. It would afford me to do somethings with my kids that I cannot do now. So you tell me what is wrong with that!! You better start coming down on the actresses that pose in suductive poses too then. Like jennifer Love Hewwitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Its hard to have a great body, I know because I walk that road everyday. I eat right and pump iron with the big boys, I run a house alone and care for two boys alone, and I risk my neck to save strangers. So go ahead and keep mouthing off people, you have no clue what you are talking about. You all have totally pissed me off more than I can express. Get out of high school and start looking at the big picture!! Now that I'm done venting... This may end up being my last post here. Except I have one thing to add- If being in shape and fit was easy don't you think that we all would be that way!! It sure would make my job easier- less sickness and diease and lighter loads to carry down four flights of stairs at 3am. Be more accepting and give praise to the ppl that have been dedicated enough to get where they are today and STOP DISSING OTHERS!!!
