dinner : lettuce salad ,1 boiled egg , 1 slice bread


yesterday was the end of week 2.today i'm starting over again.i am not liking te repeat of the weeks,even ifi am having nice food ,its become real boring.Ispoke to my bf A on the phone he said he's down to 96....i dont think i'm
there just yet,and i did feel a bit bad.sad even.why does it seem so hard to loose the weight?even with a proper diet.i remember at this high number of kilos i used to loose weight fast.at least at the start.think its my age.?does 34 have such a huge difference with 30????
 
It is all about persistence not age but recovery from exercise was easier at thirty than it is now at 42 lol
 
Hi! Sounds like you've made a good (re)start! Your metabolism can slow down as you get older, but that's generally around 60 or older so I don't think that's the problem ;)
Maybe it's worth trying some high intensity exercise? If you push yourself to the limit for even a very short period of time you will keep burning fat for up to 24 hours after you're finished. Dr Michael Moseley made a very interesting documentary on the subject.

Hello SimpleCec. Some researchers say that you will burn till about 48 hours after high intensity workouts. And yes your metabilism could reduce sometimes by the age of 40 if you have been living a pizza coke and burgers lifestyle. Research shows that teens who dont workout and live a lifestyle of junk food and no activites end up losing a lot (including their metabolism) by the age of 40! But as they say, there is no bad time to do a good thing. If you can get started now, you have a chance of turning the tables to your advantage. I agree with the high intensity workout!! any time
 
Hi Jess, Your friend will lose faster as he's male. UNFAIR I know. Whenever I " diet" G always loses quicker than I do & he seems to eat about half as much again as I do. It's nothing to do with your age sweetie. You are young! Don't be sad. Be positive! You can do this Jess. It doesn't happen overnight. Perseverence is the key. Never, ever give up. Hello.i've been away the weekend i was running around to childrens partys yesterday and today.i ve been good .i got on the scales. 95.8!!!keeping calm still....our appointment with the nutri doctor is on the 15th.i would love to be 94.8 by then.that would be 5 kg in a month.the negative that i have done is ...smoke...i had a cigarette after four years. To be honest its my second in three weeks .and my second in four years. I am stressing out a lot with something personal and i know that smoking will not change anything but i need to find something to calm me down when i start thinking and getting worked up.i am trying to close my eyes and breath clean air .then let the bad thoughts out.it only works at night to get to sleep.i was gong through this again in the summer and i started droking wine to calm me and try to forget whats bothering me,since i really cant change it.so its really come to turning into an drunck or a smoker!!!!
Im off to bed got to get up at 7.

Hello jasper. I also need something to calm me down when i am feeling stressed. Food i know is the easy way especially when i am at home and it is late. I try find something else like reading or watching tv but i haven't done great progress to this until now.
 
It's hard when a male friend loses the weight faster - my partner is able to lose weight just by thinking about it (not kidding here). Does my head in - BUT I feel more empowered that I am taking control of my own life, weight, and exercise. You can do this, it's not about the speed of the weight loss, it's the fact you're doing it.
Life is short, dance at every opportunity - I firmly believe in celebrating all lifes wins, great and small. Even 100g down is 100g lighter than yesterday - dance! It makes you feel good :)

Have you tried exercise to channel your stress? I am loving boxing at the moment, and planning on getting a punching bag. Throw all your anger, frustration, stress, anxiety and those thoughts that just wont leave your brain into your punches and let the bag hold the weight of it all, not you. I have been known to scream at the bag, that helps also ;)

I know people think that having a cigarette helps relieve stress, but it does the opposite, by elevating your heart rate, amongst other things. I also know no-one is perfect. Your health sweetie is VERY important. Please take care. Sending you lots and lots of love J, xoxo Cate
 
Hi to all.been very tired.running around like crazy again.my father in law had an operation so i was on the road a lot in and out of hospital.he is athome now feeling well!
My son isstill doing football and this year he wanted taekwondo as well so my day is full.cleaning cooking reading him then the activities.i am reaing this lovely book in the evening so thats why i ve been away.all the above!
Today at 7 A and i have our nutri doc appointment!
My scales say 95.5 kg i hope its the same on hers.her scales had me at 99.8 i think on the 15th of september.
I m looking forward to my new diet for the second month.i am nearlly sure she is goi ng to lower my calories a bit.
I really want to ask her if she thinks its good to have A eating once a week sordfish,since i read that its high in something bad i cant translate it though from greek.im sure you ll know what i mean!!also if she lowers me to under 1000 calories i must ask if tht is safe.evrryone has said no lower than 1200.

She won´t let you go under 1000 kcal, I really couldn´t imagine that! Figners crossed for a good "official" weigh-in and I hope you get an awesome new meal plan :)
 
Hi again! Well....
Officially i weigh 93.5 kg!!!!
Now i really dont know what to think ofthis.at home im 95.5 kg
On the first official weigh in at her office i was 99.8 .so i guess i lost 6 kg!
She examined me and want me to have an ultra sound for my liver she felt it to be bigger. She asked me i had a virus recently but i hadnt.she said it could of been the same last time,just she didnt feel it cause of the extra fat i had.she said it could be fat on my liver.a virus.or just the way i.m built,my liver lower than others...
We spoke about food she said she is going to lower my calories just a bit and im getting my new menu on saturday!!!

Thanks ladies!!!i do know that i felt more comited to the plan cause i was reporting back to the doc,amd then in turn to you guys...couodnt cpme on an say i ve lost nearly nothing .i had a real big cheat last night after the good news.i just gave in to my cravings no guilt at all.back to normal today.last day of my old diet,cant wait for the new memu tomorow!!!

Im off to shower ,ive justleft M at school,i love him so much ???.im getting the metro today,cant possibly find the courage to drive to the center of athens and start searching for a parking space.....???
Meeting my uncle and mother ,we're going to a english used book shop right under the acropolis,it's such a graffic area i love walking around there.
My uncle is 74 years old but nobody ever makes him over 60.he is so alive and sees beauty in things i never imagined,maybe its his job that helps as well,he is a decorator,he loves books so much,it was him that made me start reading in english and i,,'m hooked now!so its nice going for walks with him.i hope my mum is in a better mood tpday.exept of alzcheimer she is suffering from terible panic attacts.she isa shadow of that gorgeous woman she once was..very sad...

My new diet for the month had arrived in my mail on saturday.so i fnished day 3 today.lots of lovely food in there.
Today

Br
1 slice bread with honey

Snack
1 medium apple

Lunch
200 gr raw chicken breast cooked with 50 gr onions ,1tbl olive oil,lemon juice,oregano salt peper
2cups fine chopped lettuce ,1grated carrot,vinegar,salt

Snack
30 gr chocolate instead of a pear

Dinner
Cheese and turkey sandwich

not a good one.i cheated at my snack,wasnt supposed to have that...

felt bad and skipped dinner
 
The food seemed really nice on paper ,it is really tasty its just not enough.i much prefer my first month.feeling moody....
