hello everyone!
i've been in and out of here many years now.trying to loose weight,i actually managed to loose lots of weight in 2011,with loads of help from this forum and other people!
Im 34 years old married with a 6 year old boy.im 1,70 cm tall nearly 5''7 My starting weight on September 15th was 99,8 kg or 220 pounds.....
i decided to get some professional help from a pathologist/nutritionist.I visited her on the 15th and i am on day 4 of eating normal.i want tor each 75 kg or 165 lbs
i wont write the last three days what i;ve eaten,i'll start from today.i really do see the food as so little,but after i eat it i feel fine.the doctor told me the reason i put my weight back on so fast was because i didnt maintain for at least 6 months after the loss.she explained that she will be seeing me once a month for about 5 months till i drop my weight and then once every2 months for a 6 month period for maintaining.
i feel really irritated and anxious at the moment about this.
want to post daily and maybe try to help /encourage someone else in the same place as i am.

breakfast
2 mini dry toasts with 2 teaspoons honey
1 ice coffee with milk

lunch

200gr (uncooked) beef with lemon sause
1/2 cup of boiled rice
1/2 a cucumber



snack

iced coffee (2 tsp sugar ,milk)


dinner

greek salad (tomatoe , cucumber) ,30gr feta cheese,

Here to cheer you on! Beef with lemon sauce sounds good, I should try that.

lemon sauce is just too easy!you don't really do anything just add 2 lemons to the meat,salt and cover with water ,lower fire, let it cook for a long time like nearly 2 hours.it is heaven!!!
 
You will always have me here to cheer you on sweetie (well,unless I fall off the perch) I am glad that you are seeing a nutritionist. I like the fact that your new thread has such a positive name. Fit and healthy is what I want to be too. We're in this together sweets xoxo

Today i am awake from 7 am like most days from now on with Marios school.He's a first grader now!!!
I feel very hungry and i just don't feel that 2 mini dry toasts with honey and some fruit at about 12 is enough for me until lunch time.I am thinking of calling the nutritionist and telling her if there is any change she can make for me.But not loosing anything else from my menu.Don't know if that's possible.Shes got me on a daily calorie intake of 1180-1200.
My food for today is

Breakfast
2mni dry toasts with 2 tsp honey
1 ice coffee (2 sugars ,milk) ----I had 2

Snack

4 dried prunes


Lunch

Lentil soup (60 gr uncooked lentil's with 100 gr tomato,50 gr onion 1 tbs olive oil)
1bread roll (50 gr)

snack

ice coffee


dinner

greek salad (200 gr tomato,50 gr feta cheese ,50 gr onion, salt)
breadroll (50gr)

nice to be here again and find many are still here!

i have just completed day 5.i think i might make the call tomorrow.
G (my husband for short) is having a little surgery tomorrow on his knee from a car accident he had in March (drunk driver.................)
So i probably wont have time to post through the day,will make sure to come here at night

Hi sweets, Glad you got through the day OK. I was surprised that the nutritionist suggested toast & honey for breakfast. I would have thought some yoghurt & fruit or soup would be more nutritious & filling for breakfast, but then, I'm not a nutritionist :) Hope G's knee gets fixed.

Yes!Some yogurt with honey and oats,i love that ,or even a boiled egg with the mini toasts.I didn't call her today as i meant to,i was on the road all day.G's surgery went fine,we are
told, he is at home from late evening but is in a lot of pain.Hopefully he will be better in a couple of days

I was really surprised this afternoon while cooking my lunch on the amount of food i was allowed to eat!I gobbled it down and felt fine for nearly all ofthe day after .here is what i had

Breakfast
2mini toast with 2 tsp honey
2 iced coffees (4 tsp sugar total , milk)

Lunch

Ckicken with olives (200 gr uncooked chicken breast with other ingridients,1 tbs olive oil in the food)
1/2 cup boiled rice

Snack

65 gr of low fat ham

Dinner

50 gr bread (2slices) filled with
1 slice edamcheese
1slice ham
1slicetomatoe
lettuce


I have cheated a bit,tasting G's Cesar salad i made him plus my Snack for today was my inspiration since i didn't have any afternoon snacks
don't think i did much damage

1 tiny cheese puff (not in my diet plan....:piggy::piggy::eek: )

dinner

salad (2cups chopped lettuce,1 small grated carrot,1 boiled egg, 2 tbs thousand island dressing)
2 dry mini toasts (equals 1slice of bread)


supposed to have before sleep 3 dried pruns but i'm noteating them cause i slipped a cheese puff
 
& the cheese puff will do the opposite to 3 prunes ;)
Did the nutritionist suggest iced coffee J? Is it one you make yourself or one you buy?

i've popped in just before going to pick M up from school.
the doctor (she is a pathologist as well )didn't want me having the coffees or at least use sweet n low or stevia.but i was clear that i am not willing to sacrifice my beloved coffees ,she was real skeptical and not pleased cause of the 4 tsp of sugar a day.
i make it with 2 tsp of Nescafe instant 2 tsp sugar ,water loads of ice and half a cup of low fat milk .
i'll be back later,i ' ve finished my 1st week yesterday!:hurray:

Brrr, coffee. But if you really love your coffee, having it even though the doc said you should make you feel like you´re splurging every time. That´s worth a lot!
 
hahaha!exactly! i also think my reaction was too much and i scared her a little,i was even wiggling my finger saying no no don't mess with my coffee :smash:
i feel that my luxuries
have been taken away and its the only thing i'm not negotiating.

i was driving all day,up and down.G went to the doctor to take bandage of his knee ,he's got two little cuts probably2 stitches each on his knee.but it's still swollen so he can go back to work yet. M had taekwondo and also i had a school parents teacher meeting specially for the 1st graders that took FOREVER TO finish.the doctor's office was 30kmn from home...so i'm beat again today (there was more running around but too much details boring boring boring) it was a good food day for me since i didn't have time to think!
AH!ICALLED the nutri doctor and i'm allowed to have a yogurt in the morning or a boiled egg with 2 dry mini toasts:hurray:

Breakfast
1 yogurt 2%
1mini toast

Lunch

1 and half cups of boiled spaghetti with
mince meat sauce (100gr no fat beef mince,100 grated fresh tomato ,onion and herbs)
1tbs grated Parmesan cheese

Dinner

1 sandwich (50 gr bread,1slice cheese,30 gr turkey breast,tomato lettuce)
 
Sounds like an exhausting day sweetie.
Yoghurt or boiled egg with your breakfast sounds MUCH better! :)

the yogurt seemed to keep me a little more full till lunch,nothing huge though.
i have to say that i still am shocked ,really,shocked at the amount of food i am cooking and eating.it seems so tiny.my best friends, the one ,the husband , i'm calling him A has also gained lots of weight.it was his idea to go to the nutri dr and wanted support cause he said he cant do it alone,his wife my other best friend is a normal weight so she isn't up to it.I sad i would help him and myself.we are the same starting weight and he is a tiny bit taller.we are having our monthly visits to the Dr together,weighing and everything together.I cant start to tell you how sick i felt and nervous,i felt the day i had to weigh in front of A in the dr's office.I was sweating and couldn't concentrate.I felt awful that he was going to find out i was nearly 100 kg.i didn't have a choice, i couldn't tell A To leave the room.So i did it.i am still so embarrassed.... but i try not to let it show,i make fun of it, i could NEVER let anyone know how embarrassed i feel.well it's ok for you guys to know we are on here for the same reason and i feel i can be honest.
anyway,the first time i actually saw 100 gr of minced beef that i was supposed to make for myself i actually cried laughing..can you believe how shocked i was?
i think it's awful how twisted my idea of a normal portion and a diet portion was/is,I am still trying to understand.
this is why i failed to loose weight the last 2-3 years.my portions must of been huge.I first thought that this nutri dr was insane,thinking that a normal human can eat like a bird,i still think that in the morning while checking my daily food,but i know I AM the wrong one here cause after i eat this 'tiny" amount i'm not hungry.I keep thinking "can i actually learn toeat like this forever?"
i find myself wanting to eat for the pleasure of the taste.not hunger.and this is difficult to control.

I think it comes as a shock for most of us sweets when we start weighing out our food & keeping track. Your body does adjust to smaller portions & it will help you in the long run. Most people eat way more than they think. Well done on being brave & weighing in front of your friend. It's great you have a dieting buddy. Go you!! xoxo

i got on the scales even though it's my first day of the month.97,3 but i'm not dancing around yet.i'll do that at 95,i also had/have this huge craving for a chocolate cream filled donut.so hard to resist it,i felt miserable.

Nawww You can do this sweetie. A chocolate cream filled donut would make you feel good for seconds & then you would feel so BAAAAD!!! SO not worth it! Do some dancing at 97.3...it will burn off even more calories :) xoxo
 
Cate!!!!I am so thick sometimes!!!!I read your post yesterday and just could not stop thinking "how on earth does Cate know about the radio station 97,3 here in Athens?" OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i only now understood it was my weight...............................

As you can see i have a 7 day meal plan that i repeat,will be repeating for 4 weeks ,then i go back to the nutri and she will weigh me and give out another 7 day meal plan that i must repeat again for 4 weeks.Bit boring but i think it is helping me understand what a weight watching plate of pasta is actually.How much meat i can have and get used to the amount of rice can consume.She has covered i think ,ok the nutrients i should be getting.She's included fish ,chicken , meat ,lentils , peas , olive oil ,dairy and fruit.I used to eat fish ,lets say 1 time every3 months.Now i'm having it once a week.
It was an ok day yesterday,i dont feel hungry anymore.I feel ok.Think my stomach has started to shrink.Maybe.Didnt have the nasty donut,dont crave it anymore.
I'm expecting to reach 95 kg by the 15 th of October.If i do,that will be a 5 kg loss in 1 month.She said i'll loose 3-4 kg.Wait and see!
