First Diary Ever

So today has been good so far. got up at 0630 and did Boot camp at 0730 for 45 minutes and diet is looking fairly good today.

Going to pack some yummy delicious stuff for a pic-nic later today!

The pic-nic was so much fun. Kids played on the playground, then we ate, then walked and finished up by playing frisbee!!!

So today I got exercise in the morning and in the evening:

I made some delicious wraps using the spinach and pesto wraps, turkey (or roast beef), tomatoes, onions, lettuce and laughing cow garlic and herb cheese! It was delicious and about 350 cals...
 
Also you can look into some (powdered) whey to add to your oatmeal...

Moonbeam -- I got some whey protein powder and today did really well with Protein intake! I have 33% Protein, 20% Fat, 47% Carbs -- total of 1515 calories. Seems pretty good considering. I know I need to get my fat up a bit and carbs down -- Thanks for advising on the powder!

BTW, the powder is 24g Protein, 1g Carbs, and 1g fat!

Try switching in some high protein foods into your food plan (while reducing the carbs and fats), like fat free cottage cheese, egg whites, lean red meat, boneless/skinless chicken breasts etc.

Today was another good caloric day -- 30% protein/ 25% Fat/ 45% Carbs and 1475 calories.

I finally figured out my problem. I tracked my calories today after each meal and had about 875 calories at 2:00 today. So that means between 2 and 8 I am trying to shove in 600 calories just to get up to 1475...I need to have more calories during the day.

So tomorrow I will pack more food and protein to take to work and get going.

Anyone have any advice on when best to use protein bars or cliff bars? Should those be used sparingly or is every day ok???

Work has been kicking my bootie and so I will keep this very short and sweet...

Still working on when I get my calories (most during the day)...

No not yet. My husband just bought a book you recommended to him (husband is Dr. Seuss) so I'll see if start with that and see how it goes...

I know I need to work this in to my routine...

Most excellent - I had no idea you and Dr Seuss were hitched - congrats to you both! I'll be very interested to hear what you both think of the book and the workouts.

Now the cat's out of the bag, heh heh. Before she has a chance to refute it, let me go on record as saying it's hard to believe it's already been ten years. I married an awesome lady and she's doing so great with all this!

Bad weekend for me. We went out on Friday night and got home about 1 AM and it killed me this weekend. I was so exhausted on Saturday it took me all day to recover...then with the kids it just didn't seem to get easier...

So Monday is a new day, new week, and another time to start the cleaner diet again...oh and exercise!

Carbs: 47%
Fat: 18%

Spinning class for 45 minutes and pushed myself more than I have in the past. The burn in the legs, wow!! I know I will definitely feel it in 2 days...

Just keep on that path and you'll be surprised how well you'll be doing...
