6 weeks and no results, is too long without a positive result. However, there is a result nonetheless, and it isnt the one wanted.
Set up a monitor review cycle of two weeks or something like that (but do review before 6 weeks), do not waite in 6 week intervals to interpret your results.
In 6 weeks, this is more than enough time, in my opinion to see good results--in fat loss.
If you do a review (say 2 weeks for example), and make an adjustment, by the 6th week, you may see a changed result. If you do the same thing you will get the same thing.
I agree: weigh yourself with the same cloths and at the same time. It is normal for the body to gain weight during the day (eating and fluids effect wgt during the day). As time passes, the top end (if one weighs themselves at the end of the day) will lower, and the low end (after a sleep induced fast, and dry), will also lower over time.
In any case, do not fly by the seat of your pants with the efforts you put in yourself.
