Lol, sorry, but to eat protein you HAVE to eat calories. Caloires come from:

* Protein contains 4 calories per gram
* Carbohydrates contain 4 calories per gram
* Alcohol contains 7 calories per gram
* Fat contains 9 calories per gram

Some good high protein foods include chicken, fish, extra lean hamburger, cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, beans, tofu, soy milk, eggs, quinoa, and nuts.

Most foods will contain a mix of two or all three macro-nutrients.

Making your own healthy fruit shakes and adding some protein powder isn't the worst way to get your protein though, but maybe try making your own instead of going with the prepackaged kind.

What I meant to say is that I'd rather eat food to get my protein then from drinks! lol my bad. I'm probably gonna buy some powder next time I go food shopping. Does protein powder taste weird?

I've been using Naturade bravarian chocolate protein weight loss shakes...15g of protein w/o milk so it is ok. It tastes like unbaked chocolate cake mix lolol

egg whites have like 17 cals as opposed to I believe 74 for a whole large egg..6.3grams of protein for an entire egg and 3.6 grams of protein for an egg white only. To add to Kayshiz's list, lean ground turkey is good...also Trusylver was telling me that game meats like goat, rabbit, etc are low in fat and higher in protein.

Omg the next weigh in is on the 30th. I really hope I stick with it. I tend to get really encouraged and into it for a few weeks then eat ONE bad meal which leads to 9000000 bad meals.

I hear you about eating the bad things! I had some fast food on two occasions out of necessity and then had it on some more occasions after that! I had to get firm with myself lol. Good luck on the weigh in next month!

Very few Yankees in my family and I am one of them :p but the most of my family is from Yaad and people are always asking me where I am from because I look foreign and I have a Jamaican accent lolol.

I had a dr's appt on the 31 so I know my weight for that day but I didn't actually start my healthier choices until today :) Today's weight: 233.7lbs. My goal is to be 156 by Dec 31 or sooner :) That's around 80lbs to lose. Such a huge number but that's why we're taking baby steps right?

Started my Cohen's diet 7 January 2010 with 91kg (201lbs), weighed in yesterday at 78.2kg (172lbs).

I wanna weigh 60kg (132lbs) by end of the year 2010!!

C'mon guys - we can do it!!!!
