Debbie's Diary

Good Morning Debbie. Hope you are having a better day then yesterday Sweetie. Sounds like you were busy busy. Anyway wanted to come in and wish you luck today. Hope its a great day for you.

looks like you are doing a great job! And measurements.... wish I knew how and had a measuring tape!

Oh Christina, you so need to take your measurements, with all the yard work you do I am almost positive you would be amazed at how many inches you have actually lost compared to weight. I have a tendency to lose more inches than pounds; in fact at the doctors the other day he swore that I only weighed about 200, he was amazed to see how much I actually do weigh. I am very small up top and in the stomach, and carry most of my weight in my bottom and hips. So just take a seamstress' measuring tape and go at it girl!!!!!

Sounds like a good idea, I havent ever taken my meassurements. I have lost over 20 pounds and cant even tell. So frustrating. Anyway wanted to come say good morning and see how your doing. Hope you have a great Day Debbie.

Hey Debbie! How is it going girl? Hope that you had a great weekend, (and beginning of the week) and that you are tuffin' up for the final stretch... two days to go!!! eat smart, drink lots, exercise hard =) good luck babe!

Good morning everyone!

My surgery was a complete success, Thank God!!!!! The doc was able to leave everything intact, so in a bout 6 weeks DH and I can start trying to have a baby again. I am in an enormous amount of pain though, but I guess that all comes with the territory. I lost close to 8 pounds, with help from my liquid fasting and the nasty laxatives that i had toconsume post op. I really cannot understand how people can become addicted to laxatives, they were so awful that I would rather be obese. Sure the pounds melted off, but they made me feel like the end of the world was just around the corner. Well, I still have no appetite, and my doc wants me on the liquid diet atleast until Tuesday, but it really doesn't hurtmy feelings, the sight of food nauseates me. My meds are kicking in, I am starting to see double. Congrats to everyone on their weightloss and maintaining, we are all winners!!!!!~!

Glad everything went well Honey and hope you get feeling better real soon. You will be in my thoughts.(((HUGS)))

Glad you lost 8 lbs!!!....But sooo sorry the blah way you had to go about it......Now get some rest...

Thank you both sooooo very much. I am feeling a bit better today, still very sore though, it feels like I did about a bazillion crunches. My tummy looks as though I had a tummy tuck; it is so swollen and tight. My doc reassures me that it will go back down to normal size within a couple weeks. Again today; I still do not have an appetite. By the time this is all said and done, I will probably closer to my goal weight. It is actually crazy; my doc wants me to put 5 lbs. back on to gain my energy, she says that I am dehydrated, and that I am losing it too quickly. I have to agree with her. My muscles feel like they may never work again. I guess in time I will reach a sense of normallcy some how. I cannot wait!!!!! I actually miss working out.

Something funny did happen at the hospital though; I got a little excited when I was able to fit into a regular wheelchair, and put my bag beside me. My doc understood my excitement completely; she seen me at my largest- she hugged me and told me that she was so proud of me. I used to have to get into one of those real wide ones. How embarassing that was.

Just thought I would share that with you all, I knew that some of you could relate.

Sorry you are so sore. But you will be back to your old wonderful self in no time. I dont blame you fpr getting excited about the whole wheelchair thing. Its the little things like that, that make us realize just how good your truly doing. And you should be proud because you have been doing amazing. I just feel so bad that you hurt so bad right now and have to go through this. I will still keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you have a good day sweetie despite your pain.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I feel so much better today, so much that I think that I may go back to school today, against docs wishes. I figured; if I am just sitting around at home doing nothing, then it would not hurt to sit in school and learn. Dh got me a back-pack on wheels so that I do not have to lift anything, and all of my classes take place in one area, so I should be okay.

It is my hubbys birthday, so we will be going out to eat tonight. i seemed to have gotten a big part of my appetite back also. Seems as though it has changed a bit though. I do not know, but it feels easier to control my eating habits now then before the surgery. Hope it stays that way!

Well, I went back to school yesterday, I think it may have been a bit too early though. I think that all the walking I have been doing may have made the stiches come out. I am in sooooo much pain. I am gonna have to give my doctor a call first thing in the morning. Stuck with my good eating habits yesterday and today; just around 1300 calories.

Hope everyone is having a nice week, and enjoyed their Halloween!

Honey, sorry to hear that. Dont over exert yourself hon. Usually as much as we hate to do what the Doctors say they sometimes know what they are talking about. Hope you get feeling better and try to take it easy. You will be up before you know it...dont rush it.

Hey Deb.....exactly what kind of surgery did you have?....Did they have to make a big cut?....I have only had one surgery in my life and that was for my gallbladder. I hope to NEVER have another one again!!!!
Try not to over do yourself hun....

Hello everyone!!!

It has been a while since I last posted, and I am sooooo sorry for that. I was on externship at a medical practice in Seattle. Quite a long ways from home, but I learned so much. I did make it home in time for Christmas, which was wonderful!!!! I got the iPod that I was sooooo hoping for. So now I have tons of music to listen to now that i have recently jumped back on track. Yes, I said jumped back on track. While externing in WA I let myself go terribly. I gained probably about 10 pounds back, and I am feeling each and every pound of it. Oh well, a new year is starting, and I have decided that this is my year!!!!!!!

Hey hun jump on the wagon with us, we are all determined that this is our year so we can really help each other. Happy New Year.

Well, I keep coming and going, and I think that I really need to stay. I have been so busy with school and preparing for my externship come May and graduation come June, which I hope to be below 200. I have been doing alot of not eating all day and binging at night, which has not helped. In fact I put another 6lbs. back on. My wonderful Dr. has decided to help me lose some of the weight by putting me on med that stimulates cravings, hunger and glucose. So she thinks that it will help. I hope!! Well, I went out early this morning, faced the bitter cold and jogged and walked for almost an hour. I love exercising outdoors. It is so invigorating.
