Dan's Journal

OKAY, so today was close. I think due to the fact I did not workout today, which means I will burn less calories it is a good thing that I was below by a bit. Surely I need to adjust on days I am not working out?

Anyway to get this up to the 2800 mark tomorrow I am probably going to do the same again but add in another chicken breast somewhere, a second pitta bread and snack on some nuts and raw veggies in addition to what I had today.

Does anybody thing I am eating too much bread though? Today was 2 slices of bread and 1 pitta. Tomorrow will be 2 slices of bread and 2 pittas...Too much or is it fine?

Also how is the boil in the bag rice as I am getting a lot of calories from that, it is also low in salt and saturated fats. I only have access to a microwave at work though.

Any tips will be thankfully recieved!!

I take Brown Long Grain Rice (Minute Rice), place a cup dry in a freezer bag. Then at work, I will add the water, and cook it about 6 minutes in a bowl, and this works pretty good. Its about 300c and a fair amount of complex carbs. Sometimes I will mix in cooked chicken........

Adding chicken is fine (good protein.....and no carb content) so it goes good with rice in this nutirent aspect.

I have always ate alot of bread (though its mostly pita bread), dont worry about eating too much of it, be more concerned with the nutrient ratios and the caloric content at the end of the day (a 24 hour cycle day) Bread is fine,,,,,,,the good type that is.

Dan.....Go to my Tri Pic thread and read the LAST post I made. It is in reference to your question on days you dont work out. I understand this question more than you may think. Caloric needs lesson in the activity sense (especially if your off work too), but not necessarily in the recovery sense. Knowing these differences activities ARE IMPORTANT.

Read between the lines on what I am referring to this can be adjusted and modified to suit you.

Okay so I overshot the mark today, which is a change from being 400 under atleast! I need to try and get this perfected now by working off what I have learnt over the last week.

Today I could have reached my target by getting rid of that Solero Ice lolly (BTW I never usually cheat lol), also would just need to get rid of the pitta that I had at night (I know, i know carbs before bed etc but I think i'll be fine).

Anyway I am quite pleased with how close I got today, as I say the solero was a cheat thing really and I never usually have one. So now over the weekend etc I should be able to get this locked down.

To Chillen:

I have not had a chance tonight to look at the Tri thread again but I am going to sit down and go take a look tomorrow or maybe saturday depending on if I am doing anything tomorrow night! I am sure it will be very helpful and insightful and I guarantee I will learn a lot from reading it.

I have read how you have been doing your sort of zig zag diet but not looked at the details properly, but from what I HAVE read it does seem an interesting concept.

So guys....KEEP ON BEING AWESOME!!

I had a great workout today, I am SO DAMN pumped up for this, always been enthusiastic since I started but now I am upping the game, the workout today was really amazing and at the next workout my muscles aint gunna know what hit em!! YEahhh!!!!
