CypKitty's journey in a journal

Thanks. I just hope it is true. It seems too good to be true. Funny it is after I pay for the course - at least I can do something while the baby sleeps lol it is going to be good and I cannot wait :)

congrats!

I'm sure your doctor can advise you about what you can and can't do while you are pregnant.

For most normal pregnancies they let you do some working out :)

On another forum I belong is a pregnant gal who's still doing a lot - maybe even her original workouts unchanged.

Hello, I'm back!

I am so sorry I haven't been on here in a while, alot has happened the past couple of weeks.

It was confirmed that I was pregnant and hubby and I were over the moon. I told Stuart and changed the things we did in PT, such as with weights lowering the weight and upping the reps being done. I was able to do Boot Camp as there were only 3 of us and he would keep it low impact for me.

Unfortunately, I started spotting last Friday and by Monday it was like period blood. I went to the doctor who sent me for an urgent ultrasound. They managed to find the gestational sac, but it was very small. Along with the bleeding, the doctor says it is most likely a miscarriage. So now hubby and I are trying to come to terms that there is no baby. Another ultrasound in a week will confirm this

Hey, its alright. Things happen for a reason

At least I know I can fall pregnant now. The past 10 months I was worried about that. So just better luck next time

Hi, I am back again

Not on here as much though as I am busy with work and the fitness course. Current update on me, I ran an 8.2km race the other day and got it in under 50 min - very happy considering I didn't train for it and haven't ran that far before. I am going to do the Bay to Bay run in June which is 12km and the City 2 Surf in August which is 14km. I can't wait :)

I got my PT to put the price down! YAY for me lol. SO I started back up with him again last week and I am going to have him once, maybe twice a fortnight.

I had to fill out a goals sheet so I will post it here. If you think there is anything else I need to add, let me know.

Short term goals...
* Increase distance in running and later on cut down the time as well
* Maintain a strength training program and try to complete it twice a week
* Eliminate the Leaky Gut frim my system

Long term goals...
* To participate in the 2010 Bay 2 Bay Run (12km) and get a good finishing time
* To participate and complete the 2010 City 2 Surf (14km) in a good finishing time
* Maintain a healthy diet, hopefully still grain free

Obstacles that may get in the way of achieving goals...
* Falling pregnant
* Getting bored with the strength training program
* Injuries (hoepfully not) from the longer runs

Ways to overcome obstables...
* Have variety in the strength training program
* Be aware of the injuries that may occur
* Keep running equipment in check

Does this sound OK? Do you think there is anything else I need to add. My main goal is the running, to achieve running longer distances

Are you pregnant now? If so, then that's going to prevent most of your goals from happening. If not pregnant, then maybe run your race now for a time, and then mark your progress. Same with the strength. That'll help keep your training on track and you can see your progress. Shouldn't get bored if you're progressing through this year.

Hey it's OK

I forgot to write that the Bay to Bay Run is in June and the City 2 Surf is in August
