Context-Specific Thinking

Great article on how and why any health/weigh loss program should be tailor-made to individual needs. People have different lifestyles, different issues, and different needs. I have a clients that has body image issue, rather than a real weight issue,with a BMI of 22, insisting on going to 19. Her needs are totally different from another client who is overweight (BMI 29) with pre-diabetic symptoms, or a senior clients that need nutritional modification/therapy. Should one size fit all of them? Absolutely not. A sustainable weight management program is one that fits in your lifestyle. Otherwise, everyone knows that if you drop calories, you'll drop pounds. But few can do it consistently with no support.

Speaking About What I Know

I agree with that because it's so much easier to speak about what you have experienced yourself. It's what you know, yourself. That's why I can speak about the weight loss that I'm experiencing right now. I kept hearing about these weight loss products where people were losing 5 pounds in five days, so I finally decided to try it for myself. I lost 3 pounds in 5 days so for me that's a winner. And just like life, everyone's not the same. So, after trying the product and actually losing weight, I decided to try one of their other products. Now I'm losing a pound a day. I eat healthier and love it (I wasn't really looking forward to that), but, surprisingly my meals are great. I'm trying some new things that I had never eaten before and the fat, not muscle is falling off. That's why my username is ilost5withtea

I would say you need to plan absolutely everything for the day, or as I have done today, been to piano, not added up calories before going and then had a subway. I have been making up 3 full salad sandwiches, which I can munch on throughout day which is only 450 cals and very filling, easier then to deal with rest of day just remembering, don't forget if you do go over cal intake as long as you have gone below the 2000 cals you will still lose weight eventually, just very gradually. I know now I am doomed to fail if I don't prepare. The fact that bikini time is upon us is sometimes too much pressure so every little helps. Lol Barbie
 
So we have a sticky from way back about an important article that apparently somebody decided to delete. Yet, when they deleted it they chose to leave it as a stick.
