BTW, regarding Friends, one thing I've always thought odd is the lack of racial diversity. Is New York really that white?
In inner London I'd guess that only half the population are white and I thought NY was similar

I suppose it depends where you go, but not really as white as Friends would show. In my trips to NYC, I've seen virtually every race on the planet, and in large numbers. White is just a small piece of the pie.
