Hey, everyone. Im setting a challenge for myself in here to keep me accountable. As some of you are aware in my journal, http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weight-loss-diary/20780-journey-one-legged-fat-guy-28.html
, I am trying to get to 170 pounds by Sept 1st so that I can get my new artifical leg. Thats 15 pounds in 1 1/2 months.

Feel free to post any thoughts, critiques, or encouragements. I will posting my weigh in numbers along with stump measurements every Monday Morning. Again, do not hesitate to chew my ass out if I screw around. Unlike before this is something of a high priority to me right now.

OK off to a slow start Im going to have a come from behind fight so this isnt a simple 15 pounds in a month and a half. Its going to be 20 pounds. We will see tomorrow. I also go in in the morning for stump measurements.
 
Good luck in your race against time.

If you are looking for someone to race you - I want to get to my goal weight as quickly as possible.
 
I feel you. I too want to loose close to that by the ed of Sep. I have realy cracked down on my what I have been eating this last week & feel like I have gotten no where. We can do this.
 
Thank you all. Kinda a bad start. 187 today. I didnt get the measurements from the Doc but but it looks like I have stayed the same since march.

I am pulling for you. Remember, even if you do not get there you will be damn close and that will help you out.

Just be smart about it, it is not worth your health.
 
I'll go in this one with you! I have a goal of 1.5# each week until Jan 1st. So, by September 6th, I'm supposed to be right at 173. I think that's close enough to go in together on this challenge!! I'm starting a Journal right now too :) Good luck!! I'll try to visit daily and update on my progress. I hope you'll do the same!

Hey Coffeebro, I just read the last page of your journal, and you are quite the inspiration. You're a one-legged man! Running 4 miles in 30 minutes!?! That's crazy-good!!

You have my full support, I hope you get down to 170, I will definitely stop by to show my support along the way--- GOOD LUCK!!
 
Sorry for the late update guys. Thanks for keeping me honest on here.

Ok, so this week has been a very off week, but for good reason. I just had my 10 year anniversary on wednesday. 1 decade with my beautiful wife so we went away for a couple of days. We enjoyed wine tours great food, out door Shakespearian plays and a full treatment spa day! So my food has been off.

That being said I ran a mile this moring and did a 28 mile bike ride, with an average speed of 13 mph.

I weighed in at 188 this morning, so Im not to upset.
