Club Under 20

Hello!!,

I would honestly love to meet other people on here who are under 20, talk to them about their experiences with being overweight, and how they are feeling. We can share tips, and actually get to know each other. I think it would be a great way for young adults like me to know we aren't alone, and that there other people out there your age who are also overweight. We can do this guys!

Starting Weight: 180 lbs
Current Weight: 151.8 lbs
Goal Weight: 140 lbs
 
I'm 18!! :) and 5'5"
I was overweight from about 3rd grade up until 9th grade, and since then I've slowwwwwly lost weight

9th grade= 155 pounds
Start of 10th grade = 140 pounds
11th grade= I was stuck at 130-135 pounds for about a year and a half

Finally the second half of 12th grade (senior year) I joined the gym and it helped me get down to 120. Now I'm in college and I've been maintaining around 120-123 pounds without going to the gym.
I'd eventually like to get down to 110-113 and be able to maintain there. Now that I've moved out and live on my own, it's really a lot more difficult with the food, Carbs are so cheap and easy to store that I end up eating things like pastas, bagels, and potatoes for almost every meal. I'm trying to get better at constantly keep lower carb things in the house but it's been difficult!
My roommate is currently doing weight watchers so she's quite health conscious as well, so I'm going to see if she wants to go exercise together, maybe go to the park a few times a week or something!
 
Hey folks! I'm 19.

I've been overweight for the past three years on and off diets. I find this website helps alot.....if you visit everyday. Eg I have a diary thing so that keeps me motivated! :)

I'm currently at 167lbs and hoping to reach my goal of 130lbs. At only 5"2 at the moment i'm looking like a rounded dumpling :$ ha!
 
Hey peoples!

19 year old here. Starting weight was 240, but now I'm down to 220 and still working so so so hard at keeping the weight DOWN. :O :)

Anything you want to share: Hmm... Well, I have 2 siamese cats, I like gaming, jogging, swimming, heavy metal music, scfi and horror movies, anime, and robots.
I also build robots from StarWars with my parents and take our life-sized movie accurate pieces and droids to conventions and charity events.

As for weight loss, I've probably been serious about losing weight 3 times, and this is the 3rd time I've tried.
But each time I attemped to lose weight I ended losing weight and then never finishing it. This time around I intend to stick to it to the end.
When I was 12 yrs old I was freaking 180 lbs! At that point I figured enough was enough and decided to start losing weight. So Since then I've been losing weight on and off.
 
I'm 17 ! I was 120 lbs at my fattest and I want to weight 100 pounds (I'm 103 right now). Yes it's only vanity since I wasnt overweight, I'm doing it just to feel better about my body.:) I'm 5"3 ! I fixed goal measurements too.:)

What was the factor behind making you loose weight?

something must have happened or you must have seen something to make you think,i better get loosing weight

for me it was a picture i seen posted on facebook the evening after a school trip with the class,everyone else was just you know,lookin normal and then among everyone was me and i looked huge,far bigger than in any picture ever before,i suppose when i see myself among other normal size people it made me realize the intensity of the sitaution.Anyways that evening i started my diet and havent looked back since that was in september of 2009.

For me it was when I stepped on the scale and it said 224 x_X I was like woah. My dad is obese I don't want to be like him D:
 
I think for me that I was just tired of looking in the mirror for so many years and hating myself. I constantly saw ugly photos of me, and I just looked huge compared to all other teenage girls I was with. I wanted to go swimming - but I was too embarrassed and for once I wanted to go to a shop and not have to choose the ugliest plus size clothes :( . I can't even remember what triggered it, but all I know is that it has improved my life in so many ways that I thought were unimaginable.
 
Well hey! I'm eighteen. :D I'm vain and I want to lose weight because I want to look better... that's pretty much it. No, that's not exactly true. I do want to be healthier and be able to do my summer job (in a garden center/strawberry field) better. :)

I weighed 153 for the longest time (with little ups and downs -- my highest was probably 162ish and my lowest was 148ish) until a few months ago when I started to have a major anxiety attack and completely stopped working out. I've decided that it's time to start again! I weigh 159 right now, ugh. I want to weigh 125ish, I think. :)

You ARE actually obese do you know ? And why your goal weight is still over the healthy weight range ?
