Club 160s

Thanks Invariant.

I must admit that I do feel pleased with myself. I just wish that I had managed to do it lots of times when I tried to lose weight when I was younger. I put on a lot of weight very suddenly in my mid-twenties. I am only now managing to get anywhere with getting rid of it - over twenty years later.

Hey all -

I know what y'all are saying about it taking way too long to get out of the 160's. I'm still struggling with it and bounce between 161 and 165. I started doing Tae Bo this week, which is a heck of a work out, so I'm hoping to bust the plateau and start loosing again.

God Bless,
mik

Mik - good luck with busting out of that plateau. I have certainly experienced my fair share of plateaus and hated them.

Last night I weighed in at 157, and I was like :hurray: but I was sad too. I mean, I JUST joined this club. If it's okay with you guys, I'll stick around here until the end of the week just to make sure I'm ACTUALLY in the one-fifties. We all know how scales are, tricksy and decieving at times.

And Mik, hope the Tae bo works out for you!

I have a new maching called the CorEvolution. It was recommended to my father by his doctor. It works out all of your major core muscles and I've been using it everyday for a week. The results are outstanding. I can sit/stand straighter and my back HARDLY hurts after too long a run anymore. Also, it does reverse abdominal crunches. So I'm also working out my abs in HALF the time. It's wonderful and fairly inexpensive. I will use the machine all my life. I'm sure of that.

Invariant - Congratulations on last night's weighing. Scales are difficult at times - but I hope that yours are consistent about this. It is fine for you to stay here with us for as long as you wish. I know that Kgirl is looking forward to some company in the 150s club and a number of us are itching to be there.

Thank you, Omega!

I'll have to join both then. And I do hope you can accompany me in a bilateral club membership soon!

I cant leave yet. Things have been going slowly here too.

This has caused me to make some drastic changes to my food plan - something which very rarely happens.

I'm still here. Stuck like glue to the 160's :/

I started martial arts this week, 2 hours a night twice a week plus about 15 to 30 minutes of practice a day. I've also been doing Tae Bo videos and I walk 4 or 5 times a week 2 miles. I'm taking in between 1500 and 1750 calories a day.

Some day, I'll see the 150's ... I hope.

God Bless,
mik

Scales jumped a good bit after the measily movement of it last few days

164.6

I can't wait for 50's. I think i will die. I havent been in the 150's since i was TEN!

Casanova - Many of us remember feeling just like that.

Demented - I am pleased that the scales jumped for you.

Mik - Your exercise sounds lots of fun

I weigh every day. Based on today's weight - I can join the 150s.

Normally my weight wiggles from day to day so I expect to be a member of this club for a few more days until my weight settles under 160.

Thanks Mik

I know that everyone will be soon heading in that direction too!
