Thanks, you guys for the positive thoughts. I needed it b/c I didn't lose anything this last week. I'm not complaining... b/c...I did lose 4.5 the week before but I'm just wondering why nothing came off. I know I'll lose pounds this next week.

hey choc, there could be any number of reasons why you didn't see any loss this week. the most likely one is simple water retention, and you may have increased your muscle mass. don't worry about it too much tho, with your diet and exercise plans you are sure to be losing fat, and that's what really counts! if you're building muscle that's a good thing b/c it'll raise you metabolism. so stay strong and stick to your plans. you're doing great!

My aunt said the samething about the muscle mass. I noticed that the shape of my legs has changed a bit... pants fit better. I'll take it.

yup, sounds like someone's building muscle! good job choco:D ! i think the way clothes fit is more important than the number on the scale anyway, so you are definitely on the right track. keep up the good work!

I'm feeling good...with every workout I feel stronger and I don't feel bloated at all. Yay! Even my skin looks and feels different...all that water.

I have no idea on the calorie count b/c I went out with friends and it was hard to keep count. I did share a plate(salad & chicken), so that was a good choice but I had trouble keeping track. Any tips when eating out?

Still Going

I was a bit out of control during thanksgiving weekend but I jumped back in after that and I've been doing pretty good. I've still keep my food journal in the kitchen and I'm got the calorie counting thing down pretty good. Sometimes I can keep a tally in my head as I'm eating out with friends.
My running is getting better too. I'm not as fast as I would like to be but I'll take what I have so far (10-11 min/mile). My short runs are between 3-4 miles on tue/thur and my long runs are on sat mornings usually between 6-9 miles(jog 8 minutes/quick walk 1 minute...repeat until goal is reached). I find myself getting back into it and actually looking forward to a long run. I know many of you are thinking I'm crazy but they don't call it a "runner's high" for nothing. It's like you just zone out during your run sometimes. I've notice that my butt and legs are changing shape even if it's just a little bit. I can tell the change when I put my clothes on. I can see the difference these 9 pounds have made. That's motivation for me to keep losing even if it's slower that I thought it would be.
