5'5" cw170 gw125
I have between 1300-1700 calories per day.
I have about 50-60 carbs per day.
(I do breastfeed my daughter so I can't go too low on carbs or calories.)
My workout consists 45min - 1hr of cardio, at my heart rate of 155-160 bpm, atleast once a day but mostly twice a day because of the challenge.

Here are some of my foods:

Protein:
Lean chicken-grilled or shredded over salad(breaded at times)
shredded pork w/veggies or on salad
ground turkey mixed w/veggies (sometimes on salad)
--all meats are seasoned--
eggs mixed with veggies or meat
Cheese on salads or on bread
nuts
chocolate protein shake powder mixed with milk and w/a bit of cool whip and splenda (for a real shake taste)

Carbs:
Whole wheat bread
hummus on a whole wheat pita bread
larabar
fruit(sometimes with a bit of cool whip)
milk
rice cakes
corn tortillas (1-2)

special snacks:
sugarfree jello (w/a bit cool whip)
sugarfree frozen fudge bars
cool whip (extra creamy)
peanut butter (w/ cinnamon and a bit of cool whip)tastes like ice cream
decaf coffee w/sugarfree vanilla syrup and splenda

I thought I was going to have more trouble with the chocolate but it hasn't been that bad. I feel good and I feel lighter. I'm probably losing water this first week.

YAY!!! you made your own journal!! so happy for you. and your plan sounds really great!! keep up the excellent work. can't wait to see how much progress you will have made at the end of the challenge!! *hug*

Okay, here goes:
I've been really staying on track with the plan and I do feel really good. I'm excited about weighing in after one week so I'll post that on are team thread. Does everyone remember that I started jogging again? If I forgot to mention it here--then I started jogging again for the umteenth time :rolleyes: Anyway, I'm up to 3.5 miles of slow jogging twice a wk and a long jog on saturday mornings with my aunt. She runs marathons. Of course, she's trying to get me motivated about that. I told her I need time to think about it. She said that only 1% of the population run marathons and that if Oprah did it so could I. :)
Okay, I'm off to the gym.
 
hey choco mama, you're doing excellent!!! that's great that you started running again. i wish i could run. i've been trying to job on the treadmill but i can never last for more than 5 minutes. pathetic, i know. but good job on starting that up again.i'm also glad that you're feeling really good and looking forward to posting at the end of this week. keep up the awesome motivation! :D
 
woo hoo for marathons!!! I've never been a runner, but when I decided I needed to lose weight, I began jogging... and now I love it!!! I would like to do a 5 or 8k first... and maybe eventually someday work up to a marathon... wow - that would be so exciting!!!
 
Good for you! You sound so excited about the jogging! I tried it once, but my bladder protested! Keep up the hard work...

choco, ya continue to impress me! jogging! for 3.5 mi. ::mouth agape:: fabulous. i need to get back on the treadmill and work it! (after my tennis doubles saturday...gotta practice tons to win!! but its all about fun. kinda.)
 
Okay, so I 've been doing good until tonight. I had chocolate ice cream after dinner tonight. I ended up going to the gym late tonight and burned 600 calories. I think that made up for it. Day to Day, right? I'll get back on track tomorrow. Not like before..."Oh well, I'll start over on monday."
 
A treat every now and then is allowed especially for someone who runs like you:) Great job on going to the gym last night. Keep up the excellent work!!

72 oz water
1hr cycling class-- didn't have a babysitter for another workout today and she doesn't like the kid's club at the gym

It was difficult to get to the gym twice a day this week -- last week was better. I'll keep trying.

I found some sugarfree hot cocoa 25 cal------that will be my dessert.
 
Hope the sugarfree cocoa does it for ya! You are doing so well, even when you don't make it to the gym twice in one day!

wow!! you mean you get to go twice in one day sometimes?? that's awesome. oh how i'd love to be able to do that. one day, when i have my own house built, there will be a gym in it. yay!! good job on finding low cal hot cocoa. i love that stuff. does the low cal taste good?? hope you have a great day tomorrow
 
Amn--Yes, the lite cocoa is tasty-I like to put sugar free vanilla syrup in it.
Tryingtolose--I love Larabars. I buy them by the box--pecan & banana
 
No junk food …you go girl your doing excellent
