Chillen is one of the only people on here who tries to take the time to listen and help absolutely everyone he can on here so I don't think it's right for anything bad to said about the guy.

If you don't think it's anything to be proud of then just don't say anything, the thread doesn't do any harm so leave it be for the people who want to post

ROCK ON Chillen and I'll be back to post in the 4,000 post thread next week :p

I have come out from giving this site a break for a while because I have to say something about this post.

You, of all people cannot make remarks about post whoring. You've reached your 3000 and yes, well done, a lot of them have been helpful, but I don't see you as the highest repped user on this site, and nobody else does. Okay, fair enough Chillen posts a lot, and could cut down a lot. But that changes his character completely. He is one of the most motivational and helpful guys on here - check out the Chillout Log for christ sake.

For sure, I respected you, but all I see now coming from you is a jelous user who is seeing somebody else get credit for things they rightly deserve. For every two posts Chillen could have merged into one, he could have split one of his larger posts on the Chillout log into 4. Get over yourself. Seriously. Get back on track and quit complaining because somebody else is more popular and active than you on an internet forum. It wasn't so long ago when you were posting a 1000 posts every 5 seconds. At least Chillen has helped out 90% of this community.

all he ever did is try to help and be nice to every single member here, including you.
i believe he is one of the most helpful members on the entire site, not to mention the most helpful to me personally.
 
Lol, no need to jump down any throats.

I can totally see Sara's point-- Chillen will make one helpful post and then multiple ones afterwards talking about emails, PMs, "checking up", or just saying "rock on" or something.

This is actually spamming, but it's spamming with the best of intentions. Still spamming. That's the point Sara is trying to make. Not that Chillen is a bad person or that he is not helpful, or that everything he does or says is moot.
 
In addition, rep is a terrible thing to go off. Repping is very biased. If you write a helpful post you're not garunteed rep. Judging how useful someone is by their green bar is in essense judging how useful someone is by how many people like that person.

And if memory serves, D was asking for "neg rep only" for several months...just for ****s. She actually had red boxes until she was overwhelmed with positive rep and is now at a rep level of 42.

I've written tons of useful ****, and tons of **** where people were like, "Lei answered my question and none of you did because Lei's powers of reading comprehension is strong"

Or "Yeah I agree with Lei cause he's hellaz kewl"

And my rep is going at a snail's pace. If you guys want me to stay I better see some gratification.

i wonder why the mods made rep then...

the point of this forum is to help people, no?
whenever a person gives posative rep, s/he is expressing that the post is either helpful to them, or potentially helpful to other members.
so if a member has a LOT of rep, then s/he must have helped a lot of members with all those posative repped posts.
which, again, is the entire point of the forum
